Why does Alden seemingly always get a pass for the state of the BB program?

HE has been terrible when dealing with BB over the years. Bad hires, bad leadership and lack of accountability to misconduct inside the program.

Sometimes I wonder how it hasnt cost him his job quite frankly.

Because no one seems to care that matters.

On an off the field issues of late have been a huge blemish. Poor results in most sports.

Poor results in sports

Our wins look nice in football, but the only thing that is really clear now is that we are unable to win championships, and will not be able to going forward.

Its time for him to go.

I do not want this man hiring the next football coach after Pinkel.

I feel reasonably confident that Loftin won't let that happen.

I know at the time of the KA hire, I was preaching that Alden cannot be involved in the next football hire. Scares the crap out of me. Like you say though 808, the biggest hope we have is Loftin's involvement.

You would hope but there have been so many things that have happened under his watch including things on the FB team and he is still here. I truely believe he would have been fired at most schools along time ago. I have never understood why he has kept his job for so long. He better not hire the next FB or BB coach. If he does we are in trouble.

He has too much pull with the school, he's done something more important than winning a Championship, he makes them big bucks, Mizzou can lose every game in football and basketball for 3 years and he will still have a job.

Bingo, the move will never be made due to money and thats what the school cares about. Sadly that has no benefit for the fans. That a-hole will hire the next coach, he's not going anywhere. Loftin loves him and said hes the best in the business IHO so I'm afraid we're stuck with him.

I'm not a big Alden fan, but what is this talk about Loftin? He is a very good fundraiser and popularity winner. Very Smart, given his physics degrees, but I don't believe the man has any sports knowledge. Look at A&M's staffs when he was there. Pretty awful.

I really hope Pinkel can find someone to name his successor without having Alden in the process

that's exactly what we don't want, Pinkel has no right at all in saying who the next HC is, that is the purview of a championship coach, which Pinkel is not.

I don't know what it is about you Jagd, but we do not agree on much of anything.

no doubt, Loftin is a big picture guy, which nether Alden/Pinkel are, I can appreciate that you don't understand that but it's not my foible.
