And I don't mean have seen the field but are they they kind of guys that contribute enough that you'd hate to lose them. The 2016 class had some guys that have made decent contributions but really that was Pinkel's last class wasn't it? The only two players I can think of off of the top of my head that I wouldn't want to lose are Bolton and Badie.

Who am I missing? Because if I'm not it's no wonder we're getting worse if none of the guys he recruits are contributors.

This squad was short on team leadership, not talent.

This was year 4. They are all Odom recruits. Pick the ones you think are good and there is your list

Rountree, Crockett, Badie, AO, Parker, Durant, Simms, Elliott, Whiteside, Byars, Garrett, Bolton, Acy, Holmes, and Castillo are all players that were major contributors on the 2018 team. All are Odom's recruits.

The run game regression this season after replacing two guys on the oline that aren't playing professional ball is tough to understand.

The QB recruiting in the 2016-18 classes is a big failure as well.

Secondary and DE are the biggest issues I see next year defensively. We have zero pass rush still even after 4 years of Odom. Secondary without Acy looks terrible in coverage.

So I'm wrong in remembering that when BO was hired in December of 2015, the 2016 class was already put together by BO? If that is true, then Rountree, Crockett, AO, Simms, Garret, Acy, Castillo and Holmes were all put together by GP. Of the rest, the only player I'd hate to lose is Bolton.

I just got to wondering if we aren't in a bigger hole than we imagined as BO was still benefiting somewhat from GP's work. Could also just be a factor that those in more recent classes simply haven't matured enough yet.

ETA: Rountree might have been in the 2017 class.

Crockett, Rountree and Garrett are for sure BO recruits. Castillo you could say is as well. He decommitted when Pinkel retired.

Yes, you are wrong.

Crockett and Garrett got offers and committed after the coaching change

Simms committed after Elarbee got in his living room. Castillo was looking to flip to Iowa State but was salvaged because of Elarbee.

Holmes and Acy were recruited by Walters

LR3 was in the 2017 class.

I like Bannister. Seems like he could be a good contributor with his hands and decent speed.
Route running should only get better.
