Gabe DeArmond @GabeDeArmond
Pinkel says team is getting Ryan Williams ready to play if necessary, but plan is still to redshirt him as of now.

Pinkel explains Morgan Steward will sit out, rehab for a year, apply for 6th year at end of next season.

Pinkel says Steward will have his doctorate probably by the time he is done playing at Mizzou.

Weird, must be one of those "practice" things. Doherty vastly outperformed in scrimmages.

Williams is small, Pinkel loves small backs, god knows why. You're correct in saying Doherty vastly outperformed Williams in scrimmages. GP seems to reward players who practice hardest, but those aren't always the best plauers unfortunately.

My guess and it's just a guess is that as soon as Doherty found out he was red shirting he probably started gearing his training more towards baseball assuming he wouldn't play football this year.

I'm sure Ish Witter is a helluva practice player too.

I've seen them both up close, standing next to each other. Doherty is taller and definitely thicker.

will take your word for that but either way, Doherty is a 4-star ATH who happens to play RB, it's hard to believe he can't help the team now.

That's what I keep coming back to. This is like the worst rush offense in the nation. If the guys on the bench are worse than the worst what does the future hold? And I know they're young but I'm talking worst in the nation

Pitiful, isn't it? Another issue that HAS to be solved. Do we have strong next season?

It's not the worst rush offense anymore. We moved up a bit.

Every position group has big issues. I don't think removing a redshirt will fix it. Hansbrough healthy will help more than anything a true freshman will add.

The line really needs to get better right now. Win some of those battles in the trenches, and the whole offense will get better because the threat of a run.

Every position group is right and I have the same concern for each of those units that contribute to the running game as I do the RB's. And being 116 out of 128 still makes the point. We are dead last in rushing TD's though.
