IMO anyway.

He’s far from the only issue. He’s not even close to the top issue on this team, but he’s a game manager type. I don’t believe he’s much of a leader.

He’s too good to lose his job, but not really good enough to be a difference maker and teams get caught in the starter by default stuff quite a bit and he still has 4 years of eligibility left

And when did game managers become a bad thing? If it wasn’t for him and Badie we’d be 1-3.

He’s the best we have now apparently. If he’s starting next year, it’s not a good sign IMO.

If he’s starting two years from now, it will be a bad sign.

Again, he’s not the biggest issue but this team isn’t good enough to win with a game manager.

Also, you can’t throw picks in crucial situations if you’re a game manager

Very difficult to unseat a starting QB. Especially one who isn’t playing poorly?

Would Cook or Macon do better right now? Hard to say. I’ll trust Drink, but it could become a bigger issue down the road

He isnt the problem. He isnt costing us games right now. The defense is what is costing us games.

Barry Odom has left this team in sad shape. Razer thin depth and 1st string on the lines on both sides of the ball are not very good collectively.

This year is what it is but with a heartbeat on the defensive side of the ball we could very well be 4-0 right now with Bazelak at QB1

Defense is the problem. End of story. We scored plenty of points to win that game. QB is most definitely not the problem.

QB wasn’t the biggest problem.

Two pretty big interceptions, though.

The only thing I’ll agree with are the bad throws yesterday; several but I don’t think he’s close to his ceiling. Give us an average or “just below” average D and we’re 4-0 and this discussion isn’t taking place.

My main concern with Bazelak is he has the tendency from time to time to look a receiver down.

He'll be the starter all year this year.

Next year he'll start, but im willing to bet he doesn't finish the year as the starter - Macon will.

2023- Macon starts all year

2024 Horn

He's honestly not bad. His (lack of) mobility is an issue, but considering how weak we are across the board right now, I think he's performed well. We also have a great QB recruit in Sam Horn coming to Columbia next year so we do have someone lined up for the future.

He’s definitely not bad, but the deep ball looks like it’s never going to come and that is limiting. Even with that we have a top 20 offense so he’s definitely not killing us, but we’ll never know if anybody is better. That’s what he issue I’m seeing.

I don’t think he ever plays poorly enough to lose his job. Drink didn’t seem very open to any type of competition this off-season either. Brady is more athletic and Macon has more zip on his throws…of course, we may never find out how any of that transfers on the field if they don’t play. I think we have 3 good QBs right now. I think Bazelak may have reached his ceiling though

I bet we have Bazelak starting next year and if he doesn't significantly improve, Horn will start the following season.

He is the epitome of just another guy out there. I hate saying that because when I first saw him play Arkansas I thought he would be awesome.. Before he got injured. I also think the coaching staff reeled him in a bit too much.

I think he’s a little better than that. I watch a lot of CFB and there are some seriously arse QBs playing across the country.

He’s better than average I would say, but he’s also pretty far from the top tier elite guys.

He really needed to develop that deep ball to take the next step and he just hasn’t. Which, you know a game manager type is better than a terrible QB but you also can’t be that and throw to huge interceptions like he did at BC

First got to fix the OL and get some better receivers. So when will they all gel and get it going? Might it be next year or two? No longer than that.

Place kicking is the issue. Gonna cost this team dearly at some point.
