SC seems to be the most balanced. They came out of the gates swinging and then the lightning came. Kind of hard to get a gauge on it after that. There defense did seem to be sucking wind after a while so maybe an up tempo game will help us.

Vandy looked good but not scary good. I defense looked solid but nothing earth shattering. Thought their offense can be stopped.

OM was about the same. You can tell they have some talent, but I also get a Cubs feel from them. No matter what free agents they go out and buy, they're still the Cubs. If we play at the tempo that's been talked about by the coaching staff, that game could be non-stop action.

Saw only a small part of the Indiana game. Giving up 35 to Indiana State though?!?! We should be able to score with no problem. They also apparently have a QB by committee, using a 3rd before they settled into one. I think we can stop the run and if their QB situation doesn't fall into place by the Mizzou game, I'm not quite as nervous about that game.

Yeah, I know. One game but can't help myself. Wait all offseason for football to start, then get so excited I want to play all the games NOW!

To be honest...Mizzou is the Cubs of college football.

Exactly. I'm a Cubs fan and I approve this message.

No argument there either. I guess the point was I don't think Ole Miss has suddenly going to become the Red Sox and break the Curse of the Bambino this year.

It's only one game but I feel much better about Mizzou' s season this morning than I did yesterday morning.

Do you" I'm still not sure. I need to see us play. That was a first game. Ole Miss's OL wasn't good, and SC's seemed susceptible to a good pass rush.

We better start 4-0 and then take down Vandy.

Me too. However, if I see weakness against a team like Murray State...my head may explode.

Terrible is an apt description. I know for us, I feel much better about the Ole Miss game after watching them last night.

They will obviously get better over the coming weeks but I definitely think we have a much better shot at them then I did 24 hours ago.

I tapped out at halftime of the Ole Miss game to go take care of some stuff.

I saw a lot of early nerves from them in the beginning, they seemed to play like they weren't cohesive. Obviously they started moving the ball and scoring, did they look like they made coaching chances, or did Wallace and the rest of the team just man up to win the game?

Vandy looked good after the first few drives, but again, I missed the second half.

Indiana giving up so many points to Indiana State does look good for Mizzou's prospects of putting some real points on the board, but Indiana also scored 73 points, which is close to what we did versus Western Illinois with a healthy Josey. Hopefully the defense is ready, because I'm guessing Indiana will come out ready to score.

Indiana is the non-con game that worries me most, mostly because it's there. I hope our D is ready, and that the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse (Josey, DGB, Washington and Lucas) are ready to ride.

I really think some of the later season games will come down to who is least beat up. Hopefully, that'll be us.

If Indiana beats us....well...I don't want to think about it.

I think I may go into full meltdown, but I'm working up my strength to resist the urge. Cubs fans usually have special powers to avoid that type of stuff.

I imagine that's true!
