It's crazy to me how he completely took over from Crockett (obviously battled injuries) but in a strange way I feel like this stable of running backs will show that Crockett won't really be missed.

I hope you're right. What I'll miss about Crocket is his team first attitude. The kid never said anything shitty about anyone and it sucks he had the injury bug.

But how can this be? He was only a 2 star recruit.

Would you take Mizzou's 2-3* recruits or Bama's 4-5* recruits?

There's no system that's perfect and by the way he was a 3* recruit which really doesn't make a difference. The kid has heart and determination to be better.

Why does every dumbass who tries to make a point always point to "Bama?" Newsflash... no one but Bama does things like Bama. It's like saying "your car isn't fast because it isn't a Formula 1 car."

Not when he committed in December. He was unrated by the other 3 rating services, unless your stance is that the consensus doesn't matter.

How profound.

Ok....I will use Ohio St. Clemson, Oklahoma. The reason that I used Bama is because people on the other side people like to use Tennessee habit of getting a lot of highly ranked players and doing nothing with them.

Do you want me to throw in LSU, Miss. St. and Auburn. Since we have been in the SEC we have gotten smashed by each one of those schools. No matter how flawed the star system is, it's still is the best way to rate a player. UCF is the exception. Remember that Mizzou hasn't beaten a blueblood in decades and I'm not talking about a down Georgia. Florida and Texas A&M aren't bluebloods.

Mizzou use to be a blueblood killer back in the 70's.

Sorry I got on one of my rants, but back to L. Roundtree Check out his offer list.

Decades? Really?

Why even go on this rant in this thread. It’s about Larry Rountree who is a damn good back that is going to be key to us having a good year

Who cares who didn't offer him? He puts another 1200 yd season on the board and he is #3 in career yds rushing after 3 seasons. The two guys ahead of him did it in four. That kind of career yardage would be top 10 at both Georgia and Alabama.

None of this was a knock on Roundtree. Just showing you that the kid was a 3* star player when he chose Mizzou. The reason that I said anything about his offer list was to point out in my opinion was that he probably wouldn't have picked Mizzou if he had gotten some better offers. He should have gotten more offers after he clowned in the S. Carolina vs N.Carolina high school all-star game. The kid has heart and didn't get the love that he should have and he said the same thing during his recruitment.

The third best back in the SEC this coming season:

1) D’Andre Swift - Georgia
2) Ke’Shawn Vaughn - Vanderbilt
3) Larry Rountree - Missouri

Two years ago he was a "diamond in the rough that won't cut it". Now he wouldn't have even considered Mizzou?

The hindsight on here is amazing.

Who said that he wouldn't cut it? Where do you get this stuff from? I loved his highlights and said that he would surprise a lot of people and teams that didn't offer him. I have never been critical of Roundtree. He was unstoppable in the high school all-star game and that sealed the deal with me.

Move on!
