It is either Odom's fault that he didn't coach him up or it is Odom's fault that he kept running him out there or it is Odom's fault that he didn't bring someone better in to play in place of him. So yep, kind of Odom's fault as much or more so than the kid's.

the team has made the same mistakes in pretty much all 25 games barry has coached and it's still not his fault.

kind of amazing

Isn’t that Hill’s job?
Moore was also an all conference receiver both his junior and senior, so it seems that Hill did a pretty good job with his position group.
So that’s a good hire by BO.

Yes but since BO's the CEO he's ultimately responsible for everything football.

So is BO responsible for Moore being all-Conference both his junior and senior seasons?

It's always BO's fault, duh.

The way his players go out and execute is 100% on him, except when they do well...then he has nothing to do with it.

Sure but let's be honest, the only thing the selection committee looked at was stats and I'm pretty sure we didn't submit to the committee how many passes he dropped.

Moore didn’t drop that many passes his senior season. He was much improved in that regard.

Moore is a darn good wr and player that once in a while goes through lapses. There are posters that don't like him because he was part of the protest a few years ago. He's the best wr on this team and Lock's go-to-guy.

Receivers drop passes just like qbs miss open receivers. I thought Lock had a bad game. He had the te open down the seams on Mizzou's first series and overthrew him and he dove and still caught the ball, but if it would have been in stride it was SIX.

Yes he made progress and didn't drop as many BUT IMO he still dropped too many.

Yea Lock having an off game had to have been in large part to Huepel not coaching in the game.
Hall not playing, to stretch the defense also hurt. Mizzou unlike Texas didn’t have any depth.

Lock missed a couple throws, but I wouldn't say he had an off game. We just never really got in a position to take many shots downfield which is his bread and butter. Also missing our best deep threat. His numbers were more a victim of circumstance than him playing poorly.

I've seen this come up a few times, praising Texas depth. I'm really not sure what you guys were seeing but that was not a good team. VERY average athletically. Their offense lacks any kind of playmaker. They play the run pretty well. Ford is a plus player. Our Perimeter players were pretty obviously better athletically than their guys. Had we gotten more opportunities to exploit that we probably blow them out.

Their punter is a stud though.

I agree about the punter, but I disagree with you about their talent level. I think they were pretty good. To replace the conference defensive player of the year, would be like us putting in a QB with no experience, and succeeding! Same with their stud DB. 9 of their best players they had to replace. Try that on our team and tell me we would look that good! Not happening!

But they didn't look good. That's what I'm saying. They gained 280 yards all game. Pretty sure they punted 8 straight times despite great field position all game. They had 2.4 yards per carry. When we had opportunities to get the ball down the field our guys were running open.

Their run D was solid. That's about it.

They’ve not been a good offensive team all year, but defense has kept them in games. They held us down too. Even when we had good field position. The exception being the bomb to JJ. They throttled Witter all night. Got a lot of pressure on Lock. I thought they made our Oline look very avg. anything passes over the middle got drilled. Take that 80?yard bomb away, and we were held in check all night!

Lock certainly is good for a pick a game, but MU had 10 fumbles on the season entering the game last night. Even with the 3 last night its the 2nd fewest since 2008. That wasn't an issue during this season and the two guys that fumbled were the last two anyone would have bet on to do so.

Take away the 80 yard bomb and we still outgained them.

Ooops. Forgot one. It's Odom's fault for keeping on staff that coach up the players. End of the day, no matter how much some might want to put the blame elsewhere, it still flows back to the HC in addition to the player/coach/etc.

Yes. If he gets the baggage of the bad stuff, he gets the accolades of the good stuff.

And pretty much every post says that but IMO he has too many "oh shite" moments and that's lack of discipline on his part.
