Respectfully disagree with Chase. Cook will continue to hold this team back and if he’s still starting next year we’re fricked for we at the QB position as no one left involved with this program knows what the frick they’re doing.

Chase is just repeating the narrative he was fed by Drink & co when he visited a couple weeks back. He's not going to be friendly with the staff and then go on TV and contradict the message they are trying so hard to push. We're a few weeks away from Drink telling us that Brady Cook has a 12 inch hog, runs a 4.3 40, is fluent in 15 languages, and performs pro bono brain surgeries on underprivileged youths in his spare time.

Why would Drinkwitz risked his job by going with Cook for no reason? I think it is a good idea so that Horn can continue to get reps and be the starter when Cook is done by injury/poor performance/graduation.

Not everyone makes great decisions. Why did Odom beg to be fired by the AD?
It’s obvious that Drink has hitched his wagon to the St. Louis white boy, lunch pail gang. Let’s see if it pans out.

Maybe this is a good idea and NIL might be another reason. This should attract more Missouri HS recruits to Mizzou.
Plus, Missouri HS recruits will look up to current Missouri HS players that played at Mizzou. This is the right concept to get Missouri HS players to Mizzou.

1. Drink has a big ego and wants to prove that he was right about continuing to trot out Cook last season. This can’t be discounted IMO, Drink’s comments about Cook and stubbornness to try any other QBs indicate that he is comfortable risking his job on Cook and giving the media and fanbase the finger in the process
2. Drink views Cook as the safe option and prefers a conservative offense of slants and screens over a risky air raid offense that Horn could be capable of running. He is banking on a dink and dunk offense led by Cook getting him to 7 and buying him another year
3. Cook’s family owns several Imo’s locations and are NIL boosters
4. Drink only has daughters and views Brady Cook as the son he never had. He loves him and can’t view Sam Horn in the same vein, as Horn is too tall and athletic to fit the bill as Drink’s pretend son
5. I’ve been drinking and am pulling things out of my arse. I hope Drink proves me wrong and Cook can get us to 8+ wins, because it’s obvious Drink is set on him being QB1
