Completedly agree, it will be nice to watch solid fundamental basketball once again.

It is if Fuller stays around.

I would have preferred Howland, but I still don't think this is bad.

It's just the way it was handled. Could we have looked any dumber?

He might, might not.

But he better either retain Fuller or find SOMEBODY who has recruiting connections in D1 again.

Larry Hughes
Chris Carrawell
Jahidi White
Loren Woods
Ryan Robertson
Tyronn Lue
Cookie Belcher
Jaron Rush
Derek Hood

...all in-state MO kids who did NOT sign with Mizzou once Kim Anderson came back for his second assistant coaching stint here from 1992 to 1999. You can't not be concerned about that part. Can he coach? Yes. Central Mo ran the same ol' triangle offense that Norm did and they ran it well, good low post entries, took good shots, and defensively they pressured more on the perimeter than Norm ever did so Kim has evolved some. But all that stuff is moot if we can't find players to run the system with. Hope the Fuller stays smoke is true now. I like the Anthony Peeler returning to join staff rumors but worry that he may not have enough experience. Need a recruiter with juice.

Yep I think we all agree. He can coach.

He's going to have to get some serious recruiters on his staff quick. Have to keep Fuller. Peeler and English both sound interesting.

I'm sure we have the money to lay out to staff.

English isn't even 25 years old yet that is not gonna happen. He still has a shot to work his way back into the NBA and at minimum has a long Europe pro career ahead of him that would pay better than assistant money at Mizzou.

Peeler is a very legit possibility though. On top of him wanting to come back anyway and having played one year under Kim Anderson, the school he was an assistant at, Virginia Union, just changed head coaches so Peeler is looking for a job this very moment anyway.

So it can work. We will have to see.

This can also be seen as a bridge hire. Not a lot available outside of Howland who is apparently untouchable.

They all have about as much D1 assistant coaching experience as Anderson does head coaching experience. I say hire them all and frick it.
