Who do you think would be the best fit for the new D-Coordinator position for the Chiefs?

I am rooting for Rex Ryan but people in the know are saying Steve Spagnuolo.

Hewitt is the best name in the link.

Spags is a terrible fit with the current personnel.

Spags use to be the Rams head coach and a top d-coordinator.

Spags was a failure as a HC and his defense was a Mid 20s defense for his career.

I don’t think the Chiefs will need a defense in the top 10 to be a Super Bowl team. They just need a defense that can make stops and decent against the run. A defense ranked 20th would be great for their offense. As much as the defense will be on the field we should not have high expectations on a highly ranked defense.

It will also help when players like Sorensen are not starters.

Clearly. They were incorrectly lined up away from going to the super bowl this year.

I like Dan Sorensen. it'll be interesting how Spags will use him.

I'm guessing Rex wasn't chosen because of his personality and likelihood to leave if he gets a HC gig again. Also, no real ties to Reid.

As far as Spags as a fit for the Chiefs, I don't know, they are changing their scheme to 4-3 so we are going to see a different team on that side of the ball. People say that this move was in works because of the personal changes the Chiefs were trending towards.
