Could they possibly build some kind of retaining lake south of the stadium and funnel the water there?

I vote for a water fixture, that leads to a fresh water spring that can be used for making Gameday moonshine.

Make it happen Alden.

I can see it now. Bunch of drunk fans walking up to the fountain and just drinking straight from the fountain. Only problem with that would be the Conference policy of no re-entry into Stadium. Get wasted and stagger straight to your car and sober up inside or tailgate next to it. Make it happen Mike.....lol

Water isn't an issue for south side expansion.

No, I don't think expanding the south end zone structure is a problem. Once it was enclosed, drainage and air flow were affected. That is what it is. And the fact that it's built on rock prevents them from installing a good drainage system. They can continue to build it up, no problem - that won't affect the turf.

I still think the Rock M should be made into a water feature outside the stadium, and seating put into the north endzone. But that's just my opinion. Love the idea of a Mizzou Moonshine fountain!

Yes, the air flow is a problem w/ the enclosure of the south end, it is the reason for the seating foundation mildewing almost as quickly as it is pressure washed and also caused a problem for growing natural turf.

Field turf seems to be a good thing anyway and I think now that we are in the SEC we can afford to retain a pressure washing crew. My first game at Faurot was before the south end was built, with the hill to the north and the fall trees to the south the stadium had a really a great and unique wilderness look. I still feel it would be better to build up on the east and west sides and leave the south end alone(other than upgrading the existing building) but that's probably not going to be the popular thing to do.

I know people may not think we can fill the attendance after expansion is complete but the south endzone has to be fixed, Faurot just looks too small compared to other sec stadiums.
