So, me and my source just hashed some stuff out over a few choice KC Ales.

He swears everything was 100%.
There were interviews, it was close. At the end of the day/week from hell, there was a realization that KA was the best road to go down.
I'll get more this weekend and give you the full story. Sounds like it was close, but MA made a command decision based on the information in front of him.
It wasn't all about the "agency".
No one questioned Alden's decision. Take that as you want to.

However it all went down is irrelevant to me now. I have warmed up considerably to the idea of Anderson taking over the program. It was a high risk hire, but could also come with high rewards.
I understand the criticism with this hire, but we finally have a man at the helm that truly gives a shite about Mizzou and the basketball program. The man is clean as a whistle, has some good connection in the basketball community (with a very solid rep amongst those that count) and no doubt, will give it his all. Playing some defense will actually be sweet to watch.

This is the silver lining I find in this hire.

I feel like everyone has to talk themselves into this hire

Seems like most people already have. Good for them.

Decent read about KA and instate recruiting. And yeah, I'm one of the people that talked himself into it. The alternative sucks arse, imho.

Saw that over on TB. It's amazing that a major college coach can come into a state with so little competition as we have in this state for recruits and not try to maximize the local resources.
You have SLU and that's pretty much it for in-state competition. Add in that some of the surrounding states aren't as strong as they've been historically and one would think that there's a lot of options here. It's probably the most damning indictment I've seen of Haith's time here.

You would have to avoid reading a lot of posts and threads on this board to believe that

Yep, that's pretty unbelievable on his part, he was trying to big time them. Say what one want's to say about the Kim hire (not directed at you, just in general) I'm glad Haith is gone, for numerous other reasons you are well aware of.

He swears everything was 100%.
Gabe is still doing it at PM. To me it just sounds like hey you want to pay $10 a month to hear some shite I heard in my dreams?

Gabe was saying that stuff before the hire. He just wasn't putting it on the board. He's not making it up for fun.

What he's saying is different than what the Star says, and the star is the only place that seemed to get anything correct. And Gabe is still going with unnamed sources behind bushes. I give that the same credibility a court would, that's all I'm saying.

It's all in good fun. If someone is stupid enough to believe anyone about anything then why not take their money (Gabe)?
This is "merica.
