Well, Tilmon is merely a formality
Posted on 4/11/17 at 7:53 pm to JesusQuintana
How is he a formality if he is wanting to take more visits?
Posted on 4/11/17 at 8:05 pm to MIZ_COU
He is?
But yeah, still a formality. He'll be our starting center next year

....not if Kansas has something to say about it. Kansas has been snooping around.

Is this real? I hadnt seen anything about him taking other visits.

I've heard the KU rumor as well. Word on the street is that it's a rumor started by Illlini fans to piss off Mizzou.

I'm really not worried about it. One of the main reasons he committed to Illinois was because he wanted to stay close to home.

not exactly.
2 months ago Tilmon was believed to be leaving illinois. There was as much chatter about Tilmon going to SLU at the time as there is about him going to mizzou now. Difference was, at the time SLU knew it was more like a 50/50 with ku. Tilmon even said he was looking at ku and hearing from ku a lot. For what ever reason all the talk about ku and SLU died off. And here we are. Not saying he is looking at ku, but he does have some close ties with them.

He's coming off as pretty flakey. He meets with new coach, tweets how great it is to be at Ill, then asks for release. There are weird things going on with his family thru the ESL connection. The Ku rumors have legs. I still think we are in the lead but thinking this is just a formality is not reality. Once he get's here he could have issues also. If he get's here.
mentally he's no MPj

Tilmon is a good player that needs motivation and a couple of years to become an instrumental part of a team. Jontay Porter is the better player, but I would take both of them.

Kansas has nothing to say about it. Tilmon is a Tiger

I just read the Smith was a Missouri baseball recruit. Is this the same Mark Smith??

Yeah, I think so. This is the first I've heard about Tilmon interested in that dump to the west though.

Yes. I think he actually committed to play baseball at Mizzou at one time.

He had an arm injury last summer. That's when he switched his focus from baseball to basketball.

The arm injury absolutely played a role. TJ getting fired sealed the deal. Shame too cuz the kid was throwing damn near 90 in middle school. Guess not a shame for him. It's all worked out.
