It's not debatable that running a fast offense can mask an OL.

as long as you keep it "can" and not "did" then you are good.

The position my opponent took in this thread was that it did not AND cannot.

My position has been that they were adequate and likely executed well, but the unit was inflated from a good/adequate to closer to elite for a variety of reasons, pace being a big one.

It appears the OL is dealing with some growing pains as we shift away from 9 second drives that typically resulted in either 3-n-outs or TDs.

I don't think so. The pass blocking has been phenomenal.

The run game scheme doesn't seem to be up to par. No reason for us to not be a better rushing team.

The OL isn't the elite unit the numbers have falsely told us the past couple seasons - that's a big reason the run game isn't going so well.

They're just an adequate unit, which I'm sure many of you can relate to.

The pass blocking has been greatly benefited again this year from RB and TE support in blocking.

Agree... Nothing that adjustments in play calling can't fix.

We have one more game for some fine tuning before the get real part of the schedule hits.

I’m guessing/hoping to see the playbook open up in a revenge game against Purdue. I think that will contribute to a better run game. Rountree and Crockett have high ceilings and given the chance will impress. I think that’s a big area of focus going forward for the coaching and scheme. We’ll see what happens. In any case, I’m excited to see what they bring to Purdue. I bet that game has been marked on the calendar all year.

I fully expect us to make Purdue cry.

Barry is going to mortal kombat rip weird-arse Jeff Brohm's heart out of his chest.

Through 6 games here are the national rankings and averages for some line related stats and how they compare to last year, Bradley.

37th in Rushing 200 YPG

35th in 2017 193 YPG

4.77 YPC

5.18 YPC in 2017

16 Rushing TDs

15 Total in 2017

17th in Sacks Allowed (1.29 per game)

5th in 2017 (1 per per game)

15th in TFLs Allowed (4.3 per game)

1st in 2017 (2.88 per game)

Poor Bradley. Your game knowledge is very.......inadequate.

I have more concerns about Dooley as an OC, but not on game day. I also have more questions about the receivers Mizzou has.

Did you know he is doing this for the first time? Never been an OC. He is learning on the job and it is only going to get better as he gains more experience. Next year should be a lot better.

There is one game left, but I think the OL has acquitted themselves well. They were not a smoke and mirrors product of the previous offense.
I think most of our opponents' fans feel that we have a physical line that is good at running, and good at pass protection.

I really like this oline.
I think we might have 4 people on the depth chart who could get at least a season on an NFL roster as a backup.

Bradley is too busy delivering sandwiches to be able to join the discussion.

It also takes better advantage of what Simms and Pendleton can do pulling to the edge. Brad Davis knows how to get his guys around the corner and I think Simms could play his way into a favorable draft grade.

Simms hasn't allowed a sack or committed a penalty.....the entire year (836 snaps)

Not sure if he was mentioned but Paul Adam is continuing Mizzou's O-Line U in the NFL. He should be in the top 3 rounds.

Adams has had a very good year. The game threads get amusing because people start complaining about MU running the ball to the right repeatedly. Well they are running behind Simms, Adams, and Albert and now Parker. When the boundary is on the right, they have rolled over the top of everyone but Bama and Kentucky.
