I have seen his name a few times as an internal hire after this season.

I read a little on a TCU Forum saying that Sam Carter came with Demonte cross to help to change over to the 4-2-5 scheme supposedly Odom Ran that scheme at Memphis there's a lot of praise for the guy from the TCU fan base he played safety for TCU during the 2014 season when TCU mopped Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl

Odom didn’t really n a 4-2-5 at Memphis.

Carter is 1 of 4 GA’s or defensive analyst that BO has mentioned as being a big part of the defense improving.

He could also take over some of the DB coaching so Walters could handle the DC role. BO will still be the play caller.

Odom ran a 3-4 and a lot of cover 3 reading high/low hat. Read 2, which is what TCU runs, is an entirely different set of keys.

Living in Memphis I saw a few of the games where BO was DC. They only had 7 DL on the team his first year. He had to run a 3-4

I have never watched any games where Odom was DC at Memphis but thanks for clearing that up for me. I've seen they guy play in person a few times in his later playing career, but i hope he pans out as a coach.
