Too much is being made about starting and positions.
CVL definitely has a role if he can hit 3’s. They way CVL played against kansas, he can help the team. Some games he won’t even have to hit 3’s to impact the game. Just the threat of him as a shooter can open up the floor.
Tilmon, MPJ, Barnett and Robertson are the only players with definitive roles. So yes, part of the early season will be about finding the 9 man rotation.

Their interior defense is now a strength. They will go Tilmon, plus Porter brothers and be immediately very very good if they stay out of foul trouble. Oh yeah and KP is just fine on the defensive end. Never been an issue.

In that lineup Robertson wouldn’t start at the point. So if you take Cuonzo at his word Harris won’t be the starter. It may not matter as I still think he’s still going to have a major role this year.

CVL could still start and get fewer minutes than backups like Harris and Phillips.
The rotations and minutes will be fun to watch as Cuonzo is still feeling his team out.

I read the starting lineup for tomorrow as CVL instead of Harris. CVL at the 2 and Robertson at the point, to go along with MPJ, Barnett, and Tilmon. I just read this tonight. Did I miss a change?

I’ll know for sure tomorrow night. I’m leaving at 4:30 to head to Columbia for the weekend. I’ll be at the BB game Friday, and at the football game Saturday night. If it rains too much, I may leave early. I don’t like being cold and wet!
