Got a cousin in Northport. I'll hope for some southern hospitality from the locals.

You know what, Screw it, I'm calling my shot right now...Lock keeps their defense off balance, but the running game is what really gets Mizzou the win. Mizzou 41 Bama 34

Must win Games:

Sept. 1 UT-Martin
Sept. 8 Wyoming
Sept. 15 at Purdue
Oct. 20 Memphis
Oct. 27 Kentucky
Nov. 10 Vanderbilt
Nov. 24 Arkansas

Games I could see the result flipping from last season:

Oct. 6 at South Carolina
Nov. 3 at Florida
Nov. 17 at Tennessee

Games we don't have a chance of winning:

Sept. 22 Georgia
Oct. 13 at Alabama

I feel like this team should be 3-0 going into the UGA game. If we can go 1-2 during that Sept. 22-Oct. 13 stretch I'll be more than happy. That being said we could very well be 3-3 going into the Memphis game. Let's be optimistic and say we are 4-2. I believe they could go 5-1 the rest of the way with how the schedule plays out. For me any thing below 8-4 would be a disappointment. 9-3 and up, I'll be a very happy Mizzou fan.

What has me not knowing what to expect this year is how we were beat by a depleted Texas team in the Texas Bowl last year.

Well I guess you knew the offensive coordinator ran out as quickly as he could to avoid being bullied by Texas. Josh is not a very good offensive coordinator. Why? He could not get the offense to play well when facing teams that are average or better. Why did OU got rid of him? MIZZOU should be a lot better team with this new offensive coordinator. I feel Dooley will get MIZZOU to 8 or more regular season wins. He will also get the offense play better against average to good teams this year. MIZZOU got very lucky to get Dooley. He got the experience in coaching in the NFL. That will help MIZZOU get to the next level. That is what MIZZOU was missing. Training and workout and play calling will help MIZZOU big time. This is what I am expecting a much better and improve MIZZOU team in general.

This is unfortunately supposed to be our year but you guys know that good years are just about always a surprise. I expect 9 wins but if they only get to 6 wins, I seriously think they should find a new coach, I never really believed in Odom.

Did you know who was the OC for Missouri in that game? Not Josh Heupel. Also it took Missouri by surprise when Josh would not coach at the bowl game. That kinda messed everything up. Also the defense coordinator was fired midway through the season. This year should be a lot better and Missouri have the off season to get both the defense and the offense going. I think Dooley will be better than Josh Heupel. Missouri struggled against pretty good teams and this year should be an improvement to compete with them and get some wins.

thought new rule change was for kickoffs are they including punts because mostly the punts inside the 5-10 yard line killed us in the texas bowl

I am pretty sure Odom will fix that and get the team to move the ball from the 5 yards to get Missouri to make a first down and continue to move the chains to the end zone. Odom is not going to ignore that. Trust me. He is making sure we make the effort to get the offense moving to the other side most of the time this year.

Well Did you see anything change from last half of the season? The texas game was botched by Josh Heupel. He chickened out and that cost Missouri to play better on the offensive side of the ball. Odom have been very good down the stretch last year after firing Cross midway through the season. Missouri did not fold like Florida did and Tennessee. Odom is getting the team in the right direction. First year was bad. Second year much better. Third year should be better due to bad first half last year due to bad defense. Now this year is more calm and not much change on defense. But on offense it should be a little better due to Dooley and his inside info about offense in general in the NFL. Also workout and other training from the NFL should be a big boost to Missouri. I have a feeling this is a good year to keep improving and go at least 8-4 in the regular season. That is moving in the right direction. Gary Pinkel have had some good years but always find ways to flop and the team missed the bowl game after winning the SEC east division. I feel Missouri will be more consist to making bowl game ever year from now on. Like most good teams do. There is no excuses for not making bowl game each year. Not mean like go 6-6. I mean depends on situation go 8-4 one year and next year go 8-4 or 9-3. Got to be right around there each year.
