I still worry about the wr corp unless somebody steps up and Nance can make that difference. Albert O has to be healthy and contribute. They didn't win a game without a healthy Hall last year.

Mitchell Forde • PowerMizzou

Camp outlook: wide receiver

Missouri has far more continuity at wideout than at this time last year, but the unit is not without question marks. The biggest one is, who will step up and take over Hall’s mantle of being the go-to guy when the team needs a big play? Johnson, Knox and Nance all could be candidates, but each would need to display a level of consistency they haven’t yet shown in their college careers.

Johnson was 8th in the SEC in receptions, 14th in yds, averaged 12.5 YPR, and caught 65% of his targets. 59% of his receptions went for first downs. Only 3 of the 7 players ahead of him in total receptions were better at moving the chains.

He's Mizzou's version of the St. louis Rams "Greatest show on turf's" Az-Zahir Hakim. A very good and entertaining 3rd or 4th wr on a good team. Hopefully somebody steps up and take some of the heat off of him.

we'll be running a different offense this year. won't be nearly as dependent on a long ball to a wideout.

He was the best WR on the team in November and carried the offense in the bowl game.

He's a very good wr, but as I keep saying...we lost every game when hall was out or either played injured. Hall didn't play in the bowl game in the second half and we lost. That's not Johnson's fault that we lost the game, but Hall was the big play guy on that team. Hopefully somebody steps up this year and gives Johnson some help.

The trigger man threw 5 INTs in those games and was scared to throw into the condensed part of the field. That isn't on Johnson.
