There is no fall back. I stated that if Odom got the DLine to play their gap assignments, they would beat Kentucky.
Odom erroneously let the Dlinemen have their way so they could "go back to dominating" requiring a return to a cover 2 shell. Doing so moved the SS back off the line of scrimmage and restored run read responsibilities on the CBs. When Newsom went down the gap responsibilities on fell on Garrett, Eric Beisel, and Joey Burkett.
You think that is a great scheme for those personnel? You think the depth at that level of the defense may have been a reason for the scheme change?

They could have lined up any which way yesterday. They would have lost.
