Now I have to ask you where you're from! I was born in Sikeston but grew up in Cape.

I figured from your name you were from Cabo Girardeau.

I grew up in DeSoto before moving to Festus around 8 years old.

I'm from Perry Co. Lived near the border of Cape and Perry Co. through college.

People will put down SEMO, but it is a solid education for the price.

I used to, but I've pretty much lost it after living in St. Louis and Columbia.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with it at all! They have a very good business school.

Oh, Lawdy, it wouldn't surprise me if we knew some of the same people!

I have a lot of friends that went there for college. Many are fixing to graduate.

My best friend likes it there so much, he's also doing his postgrad currently. Incorrigible!

Why? Because of where I'm from?

That breaks my heart Semo, you best go back home and get it back.

I'm the opposite. Living in NOrth Carolina has given me a subtle one.

Yeah. I'm older than you, but you never know.

And yes, I wouldn't mind getting a little of my drawl back!

It's possible. Don't know how old you are, but if you've ever heard of Altenburg or Frohna there is a really good chance that I'd know someone you'd met from there.

Yes, I've been to both places! I haven't lived down there for years though. You'd be closer to my nephews ages - their dad, my oldest brother, was a senior in HS when I was born. Accident kid, that's me! I was an aunt when I was still in elementary school!

Small world. Altenburg is like a pork steak, very few people outside of a certain area have ever heard about it.

Haven't quite hit 30, yet.

I love me some pork steaks, but I've never really considered that BBQ. I can actually find pork steaks out here, but they call them pork shoulder chops or something weird like that.

Pork steak is definitely an east MO phenomenon. Almost a requirement on summer afternoons, with the cards game as background noise.

Oh, man. A nice and warm Sautrday afternoon, grillin', listening to the Cards, Drinkin' beer and playing washers with the boys. Nothing better.

Come on April.
