Heard on the radio today Gundy has his squad practicing the Triple Option.

Now THAT would be unbelievable, if true. Maybe Steckel would finally get a clue.

Or maybe it's the greatest troll job of misinformation to waste Mizzou's time. Who knows?

I would hope they have ways of finding out what's what...

Gundy is a pretty good coach, but I can't imagine he could install a new system in a few weeks for basically one game. Plus OSU doesn't have the personnel to run the thing like Auburn (nobody does). I'd say go for it if I were them; if they run it a few plays they might have success but I can't imagine running it the whole game would do too much.

How's their secondary?

Seriously, I don't see them changing much from what got them this far. If they try to install a new offense that fast? My guess is they won't do much well at all

Whether or not the rumor is true, the fact that this is out there suggests (to me) that either the fans or Gundy or both don't believe they can beat us today.

Their offense already has kind of a triple option feel. The difference being that it is usually a screen or quick pass instead of a pitch. So I could see the jet sweep type option plays incorporated into it fairly easily

Gundy is a good offensive minded coach but just dont think they have the talant that AU.

True but I wouldn't be suprised if he threw that wrinkle in his offensive scheme just to see if it works. I don't like Gundy but I do respect his coaching ability. OSU dosen't have the talent Auburn has but they aren't that far away from it. It's just in different positions is all. I think they are a worse matchup for y'all than Auburn was but I still got y'all by 10 or better.

Edited for phones awful auto correct choices

Keep in mind our own OC Josh Henson was the tight ends coach at Oklahoma State when Mike Gundy was the OC there from 2001 to 2004. I am hoping Henson's general familiarity with Gundy's tendencies and the things he learned from him there might help him lend a hand to Steckel in this game in terms of what to expect, even if its just play calling philosophy-wise rather than whatever specific schemes Gundy trots out there, triple option or no.
