With the off the field issues he's had as well as what some of his players have been getting in trouble over I wonder if they could get out of a portion of that buy out citing how his actions have reflected poorly on the MIZZOU program.

It was mentioned earlier in this post that this has been festering. Everyone wanted to question that. Well have a look at this very interesting stat that someone brought up on Powermizzou
Since the 2010 win against OU which should have been a huge jumping off point in recruiting and leading the way forward after this weekend assuming an A&M loss we are 15-15 with only 1 win against a team with 7 wins or better for the year.
This isn't exactly knee jerk. That's 2 and a half years worth of Mediocrity.

This is one of the of the better points made on this topic, in my opinion.
An applause for you good sir, multitasking is a great quality. You're currently on the clock protecting our fine nation and coming up with ingenious points on Mizzou football. I'd tip my cap if I had one on but I took it off for my nightly pledge of allegiance to the flag.

Thats the thing! People act like this is solely based on this season!

This one was done from the comfort of my home. Multitasking isn't my strong suit.

I just don't think people have looked at it the way my friend Mizzoufan26 just laid it out. When put in those terms, it's very interesting.

I do too. But according to Gabe DeArmond on PowerMizzou, that is a cherry picked statistic.

Nearly 3 years worth of data isn't cherry picked no matter if its gabe, Lombardi, or Barney stating it is.

I agree with you. It isnt cherry picked. The OU game was a benchmark in Mizzou Football history. its not like people are saying a random meaningless game that had meaningless results.

Right now with their current recruits, MU isn't anywhere near a middle tier SEC team. Last time I checked (probably wrong) we have 9 four and five star recruits on the roster. In their 2010 class alone Tennessee had 13 of those athletes. That's in 1-class. It takes talent, MU has Ole Miss type talent.
Exactly. HCGP has been there 12 years and we have Ole Miss type talent. Not acceptable.

I am far from a GP loyalist. I think he gets one more year IF he makes changes. Otherwise he has to go because a) He's hurting the program by not making and changes and b) He can't win a battle of egos.
However, I thought we had a top 25 recruiting class before any decommits. Was I wrong? I knew that still didn't put us at the top of the pack but I don't think we'll ever be top of the pack with the likes of Alabama, Florida and UGA, but hadn't that put us strongly in the middle third? Losing recruits makes my question moot I guess but the impression I had was they were doing a decent job until these recent developments.

This is correct. We are way short on talent. One four star should not determine what needs to happen with this staff.

It is not about one 4 star kid changing his mind. It is about the talent level we have after him being there for this damn long. It is time to move in a different direction. I just do not get why people think he deserves another year to right the ship. I don't want what we had. I want better. Hoping to be mid pack in the sec is not good enough. Why the hell should we be content to settle?

Who the hell are you? And why are you starting so much shite with your own fan base? We don't need anymore of that here, go back to tiger board...

I agree with you. I just repeatedly keep hearing we have to keep him and the staff so that we can keep this class in tact. I am saying 1 class is inconsequential to moving to a better future under new leadership.

Gotcha. Sorry about that I misunderstood you. I got a little wound up.

I guess I'm probably in the minority here thinking Pinkel should get another year to turn things around. And when that times comes when he is gone, I just hope we find a good coach that has SEC ties and can recruit out the arse.
Maybe some of you remember my post a while back ago about Ramirez. I had met his mother and the definite impression she left me was don't be surprised if he never attends Mizzou. This was said after he had committed, before the current football season. Since then, I knew he was a very soft commit, so him decommitting wasn't a surprise to me.
I'm no insider and won't pretend to be. The brief talk with his mom was just a chance meeting during a typical work day. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, don't read alot into him opening up his recruitment. He has had a wandering eye from day one.
Happy Thanksgiving!
