Jefferson was limited during Saturday’s team practice at the University of Houston, which had a window open to the media. Herman said it previously it was hard for Jefferson to walk, let alone to do the kinds of things he would need to do in order to be effective on the field.
Herman didn’t completely rule Jefferson out for the Texas Bowl, but the door is all but closed on the All-American linebacker playing in what would be his first bowl game on the Forty Acres.
Jefferson, a 12-game starter and the co-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, leads the Longhorns in tackles (110) and tackles for loss (10) and he’s tied for the team lead with four sack and six quarterback hurries.

I was on a Texas forum and many thought that since the statement came out "A bad year for Texas is like a good year for Mizzou" that they have been cursed ever since. They also are saying "I hope that Mizzou doesn't remember that comment"
