I don't give a shite about any insane rule

That was a fricking TD catch and a great one. Nate Brown reached over the defender, caught the pass and got both feet down.

That is TD catch and a terrible rule if it isn't

I agree.

I thought he, while laying on his back after the catch, sort of "spiked" the ball. It looked like he used both hands to throw the ball, not gain control of it. Because he KNEW it was a good catch.

That statement alone will completely explain to you that you are speaking out of emotion and not fact.

These receiver's do not make great catches, they don't make good catches, and it doesn't seem like they even make catch catches.

He controlled it. He just inexplicably let it roll out of his hands while lying on his back.

He makes an insanely difficult catch, keeps both feet in bounds, comes to the ground with the ball, and then the simplest part of that play would have been holding onto the ball while laying on his back and he just lets it roll out of his hands.

Unreal

I also found humor in that

Here's where I disagree with this; IF he had come down INBOUNDS, then you're correct but after he got 2 feet down INBOUNDS then the ball came loose after he was OUT OF BOUNDS. Once you're out of bounds the play is over.

It's the rule that is the problem.

They need to change the rule to say if a player catches a ball and is ruled down before the ball comes loose, it should be a catch. How can you say the play is dead after his knee or elbow hits the ground on a fumble, but then it is not true for a catch?

If you catch the ball, your knee/elbow/arm hit the turf and you possess the ball, it should be ruled down and a catch.

The NCAA and the NFL have robbed way too many players of great catches over the last few years because they didn't "possess" the ball all the way through the play and into the locker room.

Yes it is

Because coming down in bounds is different than coming down out of bounds. Once your toe, elbow, arse, hand or whatever touches out of bounds, the play is dead therefore IMO he made a legit catch.

Agree again but the rule is the rule right now; it's the out of bounds where I think they screwed up on this play.
