Damn I hope those LB recruits are ready to play. They do have good size.

Tell me again why we are bowling? Are we going to have any of the other missing defensive players return for the game?

Or is the goal just to show up and collect a paycheck?

How will another humiliating arse whooping help with recruiting?

Extra practice is extra practice. Though only if Drink uses it to evaluate talent. Losing another game isn’t going to make or break recruiting in a COVID year. Next seasons success means far more.

Yeah, it’s not going to effect recruiting at all. Win or lose.

Bolton has now opted out of the bowl game also.

We are going to get crushed

This isn't that big of a deal. Bolton has not been himself for weeks. He is hurt or distracted or both. It isn't just a physical thing most likely as he has been taking terrible pursuit angles vs the run over this poor stretch and making bad reads when diagnosing the plays in general.

He needs to get right.

How does Borom grade out? I really didn’t expect that move from him

PFF is high on him,

"Missouri's Larry Borom: Only power five OT with 50+ snaps to not allow a QB pressure this season"

Well that makes more sense I guess. Still, not a first rounder.

He’s been playing hurt for several weeks now but he’s still way better than Brooks or Bailey even at 60%

Iowa is having Covid issues anyway. TBH, I wouldn’t be sad if the game gets cancelled

I would really suggest watching UGA and MSU over again and just watch Bolton on each play. It was really really bad. He couldn't get off blocks. He couldn't avoid the wash. His pursuit angles were nowhere near realistic.

Even if he is the "best" option, there is no real falloff right now that would matter. He needs to heal.

If this game does in fact get played, and we lose, I'll be pissed. No practice for 10 days

Watch Brooks vs Arkansas or Bailey anytime he steps on the field and tell me there is not a drop off...lol

Now I do agree that it probably doesn’t matter. I fully support Bolton sitting out. He’s not healthy

There isn't. Bolton was that bad. The younger guys did show potential to take some proper angles and did shed some blocks from smaller opponents. They are not good right now but they aren't noticeably worse than Bolton.

I mean just look at the recent D performances. We could put 11 walkons out there and with a competent DC we could have done as well or better.

The defense is broken in more ways than just talent right now.

Are you saying that Bolton has to be superhuman every play and every game?

Dude is a 1st round pick and the only way he isn't is because of his height.

I am saying he is superhuman when healthy. He was the best LB in the SEC bar none.
