We'll see man, I wasn't impressed with the secondary last year and I'm still not impressed with it. If we're going with Hilton as a starter we're seriously fricked.

While I loathe him as a player, the season isn't fricked if Hilton ends up being the starter. Matt White was easily the worst FS in the last 30 years of MU football and they won 12 games with him back there. The front 7 will always stir the drink. If you cant control the LOS it doesn't matter who is on the back end of the defense.

I still think that Oliver ends up being the guy. The days of playing program veterans because they "paid their dues" ended when GP "retired".

He lacks explosion out of breaks in the slot and his blocking on the edge was a liability in the zone running and screen game.

I thought he could be coached up and be a good safety. He could put it all together and have a solid Sr year but he has to be a reliable tackler.

I agree. The biggest thing that can help Hilton is the front 7 not giving the QB much time.
