What do they have to lose?

Do you really think any white authority would stand against them and risk being called a racist?

In fact, they are being made into heroes.

History man. History.

They might be a minority, but if they are threatening enough they start to feel like a majority.

The ugliest parts of society are the parts that bother us. No one notices the nice parts.

You and I, hell, most of us here, aren't part of that group.

But the ones that are, they are more vocal, they are more threatening to those whom they choose to voice their distaste towards.

No one will debate this with you, but much like the negative of all groups they are a minority of the overall population.

I don't think anyone disagrees with this.

Why do we spend so much time focusing on them when the majority of level headed people agree their actions are wrong.

Maybe because they can't do anything themselves without the help of the majority of level headed people. Dunno.

Growing up as a child raised by my mother alone working a labor job I was made fun of for being poor and not having the 80 dollar football jerseys or new nikes. Am I combating the entire white race because of this? No, it was a minority of worthless fricks causing that.

I truly hope you are not trying to put this on par with what black people have had to endure. One is a 1.0 tremor and the other is an 8.0 Megaquake. Both are bad but much different levels.

Racism exists, pretty obviously.

My experiences just haven't developed me into a person that's unable to see it exists on both sides and everywhere. It's also prevented me from feeling an ounce of guilt about what anyone else in this world does to another.

I don't feel like I have to apologize to the family of a kid murdered in a knife fight because the killer has blue eyes, and I don't feel an ounce of guilt because some jagoff from Prathersville dropped N bombs on campus and I'm the same race as him.

Handle your shite and keep me out of it.

If there was violence, if there was an stuffed dummy hanging from a tree near campus saying to kill blacks, if someone threatened to kill a kid for being black. I'm right there, strike. The administration didn't do anything, frick them! Get them out of there, they don't deserve another dollar.

That didn't happen. These kids are called names and they're fricking weak.

ETA: Maybe the world is just different now. There's no bullies, the sun shines on the flowers all day, and words are bad.

I hope they get what they want out of this.

Thank you for realizing and understanding my plight. My situation doesn't get me entitlements. My situation doesn't get me a protected class status that can be questioned under no circumstance. One does though...

Uh, I was called names.

AA kids growing up in the same time frame have experienced no different.

Apart from that none of us are changing things that have happened in the past, all we can do is learn from them and move on. What the frick else is there to do?

Should we dedicate every Wednesday as a memorial Stop for a short moment at 1630 daily and have a moment of silence? What the frick needs to happen for this all to be done and people to move on with their lives?

He said he would play on Saturday.

Has Pinkel said anything about it yet? it would be hard not to call them in the office and remind them that their scholarship is based on their participation in sporting events.

He can't. He's white. He'd be labeled a racist.

Hard thing for a football catch to be saddled with.

If a cop turned off his dash cam and pulled you over and put you in cuffs and hauled you to the station and went inside and turned off the cameras inside the station and took you into an interview room and proceeded to beat the crap out of you telling you that his daughter will never date someone who doesn't wear $80 tennis shoes only to then say good luck suing me because there is not only no evidence your cheap shoe wearing self was ever at the station but there would be a line of cops to verify you were never there, then I'd say that was just as wrong too.

I imagine that many of these kids have experienced more than just name calling in their lifetime. I don't agree with their methods but I'm also not going to jump up and down saying hey, that's life, just deal with it.

That sounds like a really good story, should even be a book.

Who has that happened to though?

No one has ever been lynched on a tree because they were poor.

You being called poor by some dumb arse kids that were probably just as poor doesn't represent the same thing here.

Again, there's a bigger picture to all of this. It's not about the words, but where the words come from.

Sure, sticks and stones and all of that. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts your average black dude can handle the poor jokes.

But couple that poor joke with the n word and it takes on a whole different meaning.

I don't know if this will affect any real change. However, if they feel like this needs to be done, then it needs to be done.

It's a free country. I'm ok with it, and I'm not gonna get bent out of shape because you guys think it's wrong either.

Live and let live. None of us have the answer to any of this stuff.

I don't either but something to do with blaming African american Mizzou students for systematic oppression, also not addressing this group at homecoming parade. Wolfe effectively stirred hornet nest

Haha, TJ is getting the "you're a racist" treatment on Twitter now.

Lol, who could have seen that coming?

And don't get me wrong, I don't think that the reactions of many are justified or logical or the best means to achieve change. I just think it's silly to deny that problems exist, even if it is among a minority of people.

That definitely sounds like a surefire way to cover your tracks, commit a crime with several parties aware of it, and then ensure you tell everyone about it.

Why haven't you come forward with this knowledge by the way?

I don't think he's told everyone about it but probably more than he should have. Definite sense of invulnerability.

Believe me. I've struggled with it. I have kept the texts.
