Monken turning the job down is a much bigger loss than Fisch.

Werner? Who fricking cares.

Dan Werner is turning that down to coach QBs at South Carolina? Fisch is turning that down to remain unemployed?

So you’re saying Odom offered the job to Dooley and not Fisch.

I highly doubt Fisch was offered the job, no.

I think he was offered it, but he would have had to be locked into a 3 year contract, while i'm sure Fisch had intended on leaving after this upcoming year for a HC gig.

I've never heard of, in the history of coaching contracts, a guy being locked into his contract.

There are buyouts of course, but let's just uses Dooley's contract for example, even if the buyout was the full amount left on the contract it would only be 1.8M after next year. Hardly prohibitive.

So no, I highly doubt he was offered and turned it down considering he doesn't even have a job at this point.

BO is the HC he made the call to change the D... Don't try to dump in on Cross and Shipp.

Interesting that you say the assistants bear no responsibility for the failure of their rooms lack of production but in another thread Tennessee's offense was all because of the assistant coaches.

Interesting. Where did you read that I said they didn't deserve any of the responsibility?

Cross and shipp surely didn't do anything to help install the new D. This was BO's call to change the D. He couldn't implement it either.

Sounds like plenty of blame to go around.

I think that Dooley will utilize the strengths of the players.Lock coming back is a huge plus for DD. His offense at Tennessee wasn't bad ( Pro style with a few wrinkles). Heck, the year he got canned they still averaged 36.2 ppg. I'm hoping for the best !
