Know it really means nothing but wouldn't this be quite the scenario?

LINK

edit: even more so if Norfolk state beats kansas and we have chance at revenge game.

I don't like being an 8 seed. We need to get off that. I'd rather face kU later in the tournament.

You're gonna have to play a top seed sometime. I'd like to get off that 8/9 (and I think we really already may be). But if we're playing kU in the 2nd round, I think you throw out the stats.

I really like the way we match up against them. J Brown on Johnson, Pressey on Tharpe, Bell on Mclemore, AO on Withey and Bowers on Young. Releford and Ross.

I'm not sure there's a matchup other than Bell and Mclemore that goes to kU.

As for the 8-9 seed, Lunardi had us on that same seed when we were bubbling. Before the win over Florida. We win at Ut today and I think we're a solid 6ish. Right now a 7.

And there are some bullcrap teams above us. A lot of them. Colorado State? Please. La Tech? Their best win isn't an RPI 50, I don't think. And Hate away, but Gonzaga may be the most overrated team I have seen in my lifetime.

I'd love nothing more than to bloody Beaker Bill's nose in the tourny.

He's been running scared of us since we jumped to a better conference and left them behind.

I'm sure the reason he refuses to play us is that last game at beakerville they barely pulled out. It scared him. He knows if we play them and beat them this year, all anyone would talk about is how we would be owning the Big12 in basketball this year.

To the OP.....I love the chance. We need this in KC. I'm tired of hearing about the Big12 and then a short burp of Mizzou at the end of the sportscast. Pisses me off.

Typical sports newscast in KC....
"Big 12 blaw, blaw, blaw........oh yeh then there is something going on at Mizzou, but back to beakerville...."

Jafo, I sympathize with you to a degree, but it could be worse...like it is in Wichita area.

But in truth, KC has long been associated with Big 12 and there are many fans of various Big 12 schools in the area. Most Mizzou fans celebrate our move to SEC, but there are some Mizzou and certainly other Big fans that are still saddened by the break-up. When we lived in Leawood, we had neighbors that hailed from every member of Big.

The more success Mizzou has, the more it will be lauded in KC media.

Thats why this would be BIG if Mizzou could wind up in this bracket and play in KC, take Kansas head on in the tourny, blow thier freakin socks off and punch Beaker Bill in the nose for refusing to play us because......he is scared of Mizzou.

But I understand your pain Bogie.
