I really don't see any game on the schedule that scares me.......

If our defense can get turned around which I think it will.
I know my opionion will change week to week. Mizzou should destroy their Non-Con opponents. Auburn puts the most fear in me but every other team on our schedule seems beatable.
SC has Muschamp.
UK is UK.
Kriby Smart is still unproven.
Florida has their issues and that game is looking more winnable.
Tennessee is the defending life champs but they have Butch Jones and a lot of new players starting.
Vandy is Vandy and Bert is Bert.
The sky is the limit folks!!! Now is the time for some optimism!!!!!!

I'd agree that the East is wide open at this point. We'll have to see if our defense is up to the task of getting off the field and slowing opposing offenses down. It's going to take an unreasonable improvement to chase the east title. Not impossible, just have to see this defense do a lot of good before I drink that koolaid.
Auburn looks good, on paper. They were supposed to be last year and still went 8-4. The key to that game is stopping their running backs, scoring early to make them pass, then creating havoc and getting to their QB. A lot to ask.
But, could be an awesome team if Odom turns the D around. We'll see starting next week.

Agreed. Tomorrow will be fun but SC next week is the real test.

I don't disagree with the premise for a team that is good. We will see if Mizzou is any good.

I agree the "if" is a huge question/disclaimer given what we have seen and have have had evidence of recently. (Adjusting my "cup" for max protection)

Odom is a defensive minded coach and Brick was a homerun hire...the D will most definitely turn it around. We've had YEARS of 3 starts and had solid defenses...even 2 stars. This D will turn it around starting tomorrow.

This season we should find out how good of a talent evaluator BO and his staff are. If they hit on several of the young players like Acy, Ulmer, Sparks, Brooks, Garrett, Miller, Turner, whiteside, Palmore, Utsey, and Jacobs then the defense should start to be pretty good in future years.
