Like him or not, Bernie came out and flat out asked Haith if there are any thoughts about taking Pressey out at the end of games. Haith did not give the coach speak "We do what we do" but said something along the lines of "We just have to get through to him, but here we are at the end of the year already, so there's really no time left." That's not word for word, but something close. Definitely was NOT a "Phil will be in at the end of games" type response. My guess is, Phil is still in regardless.

Your guess is probably right.

Time for sending a message would have been about 2 months ago. A possible water bottle throw to Phils head in the locker room and some solid minutes on the bench... but too late now. Gotta let it roll at this point.

I just can't believe it's gotten to the point that MU nation would take a long and relieving exhale if Phil left early.

Haith has to play him. Mizzou needs Phil to play at its potential. Mizzou at its potential is a FF team. If he takes Phil out, sure we instantly get more consistent but our potential comes down quite a ways.

The problem is if Phil doesn't get it soon, we'd be just as well off as if we didn't have Phil.

But can't you manage the team to get both? I don't know Phil would buy into I guess is the problem, but Mizzou needs him out there, without a doubt, for a majority of the game. Can't you maximize that potential but then in the last minute or two, switch off for the consistency. I view it as no different than getting your shittiest free throw shooter off the Court if you're up 1 with seconds to go and you know you're getting fouled. Probably too late in the game to be messing with any of it.

Don't think that's even close to true.
