[img]There is a serious one-way rivalry with the Bears and Mizzou. The Mo State folks really dislike Mizzou.

As a SMSU Grad I never hated Mizzou always pulled for the Tigers even in college. I think the root of that goes back to Norm disrespecting those Bears teams under Spoonhour. Those teams were very very good and Norm blew them off like a little brother wanting to go cruising with you.

Mizzou and SLU will never be a big time rivalry. And for someone like me, this is a great thing. I never want to see them play each other.

I think it has more to do with the name change battle. For over 20 years Mizzou was the main reason SMS didn't become MSU. Probably not even a rivalry based on sports for most.
