Goodrich could have made a big difference this year at corner.

It's a long way from Lees Summit to playing the boundary in the SEC.

Perkins is playing really good on a good OU defense.

Perkins is the only defensive recruit from that class that would be a major contributor on this years team.

Not enough in and of itself but build that solid foundation with instate players and add in the Texas and other kids. That can sustain an SEC team. I think BO is off to a good start with this upcoming class.

I have to give it to you JQ, even when the writing is on the walls you still maintain the company line.

3-0 will turn into 3-3 really quick if the defense doesn't make a 180 immediately.

Why would I have faith in that? Any team with a pulse that Mizzou has played in the last 3 years has embarrassed this defense. We're great against teams with no QB or a terrible OL, but when we play a decent team we give up 30+ points.

That Arkansas game last year is a prime example. They haven't progressed in the secondary at all.

Even if the defense turns a 180, Mizzou is still likely to be 3-3 going into the Memphis game.

Which is what was expected going into the season.

I agree reedus. This class has some potential and is solid so far. With a decent year and w/l, it will probably get better

Maybe but if none of them are competitive and we get laughed off the field, it is going to spill over to the rest of the season. UK and Florida are two games Mizzou could easily lose, putting 8 wins out of reach. Drop a stupid game to a team in Tennessee and now you're at 6 wins.

The next 3 games will define the season. If the defense folds up like a cheap tent over the next 3 we're in trouble.

Memphis has a better shot at Mizzou than Florida. They have the perfect offense to attack Mizzou’s defense.
