Some thoughts...
Mauk still starting of course.
Hansbrough not on the injury report.
Dilosa drops down for some reason.
Wingo #2 in the slot, Hilton #3.
5 SR starters on the OL (let's go, no excuse)
Looks like new return men. Gibson at KR, and Hilton as an "OR" at punt returner.
Crawford and Culkin out.
Brothers questionable

Wingo #2 in the slot,
thought I saw him playing out on the edge, where he should be, to utilize his speed in one on one matchups.
should be putting big guys like Justin Smith in the slot and get a "2 TE look" going.. let the speed burners show off out in the flat, that's the way I would go.

I can roll with that line I think, lots of experience. Hopefully it pays off.
I like getting those smaller quicker guys in the slot, I've always thought it was a mistake to have Brown there. He is an outside receiver for sure.
Maybe Hilton can give us some spark.

He lined up in both spots, and beat the defense on go routes from both. Two under thrown balls of course.
Haven't seen Morrisons snap count article, but seems to me he is the #4 WR right now.

The slot has been the playmakers spot in Mizzou's offense. Guys like Maclin, DA, Egnew, Moe, Lucas, & Hunt. None are really small. We tried to have DGB play there, but he just wasn't comfortable playing there.
Brown gets open quite a bit, actually most of this receiving group is open consistently. It's just the throw & catch part that struggles.

Wasn't Dilosa in the car wreck with Beckner? I think he was the one in the sling at the UConn game. They may be taking things easy with him.

I would bet Brothers is not playing Saturday. Pinkel likes other team to prepare as though his players are healthy then change before kickoff.
There were a couple of routes that were run incorrectly and I wonder if thats why Dilosa moved down.
I hope the experience on the line pays off.

Thats a terrible OL. McNulty and Chapple were on the bench for a reason, why not try Cuellar, he's a JUCO without a RS year, why waste him? Where's Rhodes? Fairchild almost skipped the RS last year and now isn't even on the chart?

No, that was Blair. Dilosa has caught all his targets the last few games, makes sense to demote him. /s

NOOO NOT HILTON, I love Hilton, went to HS with Hilton, but he should never ever ever be a WR.

OK, my bad, thought that was Dilosa.

So Mauk is still the starter, huh? Folks, chalk this game up as another for sure loss.

the only "playmaker" spot on the team should be QB,, if it's another spot then that's a problem.
It's the same with having a kid that's the "play maker" at WR or RB, or TE, all D has to do is stop the "play maker" and then you are shut down. It's the wrong approach period.
The entire offense should be the "play makers" and it's the QB's job to make it happen.

Did you actually expect anything different?
We do what we do. And what we do works.

No one stopped Maclin when he played there.
No one stopped DA when he played there.
Moe consistently moved the chains in the slot.
It obviously works, so why is it wrong?

Even Syracuse was able to slow Fournette down, eventually and there isn't more of a playmaker at that spot in football right now.

apparently you don't remember playing the top 10 teams back then, Maclin has less than great games in the CC, riding a strong horse against a weak field is one thing, but that was then, this is the SEC now.

i remember DA & Coffman getting hurt in the Title game. Which allowed OU to focus in on Maclin. Since the other options were injured.

thanks for making my point of why you don't want a "go to" guy, you want a "go to" team.

eventually? what 244 yards later they stopped him once for like 10 yards?
