A solid win against good competition. Nice INT's by the defense. Go Tigers!

It was less than solid, but a win is a win.

Not any better than Florida's win over Toledo?

Probably the same, but Florida didn't make that win look any better today.

Nervous about the D after thoday and the first quarter of the last game.

It wasn't perfect, but I'll take the W! We need to start 4-0 to have a shot at a bowl.

Red zone offense looked great today. Best I've seen them look in the Redzone

That's the truth. Looked very good. Now, if we can get some guys to hang onto the balls that go right through their hands, I'll be happier.

Just throw it to dgb! He's been solid. Lucas is always 50/50. Washington is solid too.

Just the fact that this is able to be posted without being a joke makes me hopeful.

We've been dreadful in the red zone for as long as I can remember, it's a good change.

Lucas and Waters both dropped very catchable passes today. DGB and Washington looked solid. I like Washington, and have always rooted for him - he's overcome so much. Copelin had a nice catch in the 1st quarter too.

That's the truth. Having three good running backs helps. The timing on the fade routes is worlds different under center like today as opposed to trying it from the shotgun.

Copelin's big catch was originally announced over the air as a DGB catch. Finding out it was Copelin kinda made even that great moment somewhat less great for some reason.

It was still an awesome play, though.

I'll take the win.

Our offense look light years better than last year.

Defense sucked, but in the red zone they were pretty damn good.

We're deep at running back and receivers.

A healthy Franklin can straight up run over people. He actually looked tough. I mean...TUFF. He appeared in control. He kept his composure when Toledo pulled within one. He was a leader. Nothing like last year.

We have two weeks to practice and get better. Hopefully Steck will run the shite out of the D and focus on tackling, which apparently we haven't spent much time practicing this year.

Two weeks to pull it all together and prove ourselves against real competition.

I liked watching that but I held my breath every time he did it. He won't last the season if he does that come conference play. Toledo is a tad bit different than the SEC defenses. Overall, still happy, just not quite as confident as before.

We'll learn more about this team every week. I liked what I saw from Franklin today, but I hope he's careful - we need him for the rest of the season. I'm not convinced by Mauk just yet.

I'm not going to hold today against the team too much. It was absolutely miserable, and they were playing in the heat of the day. I'd like to see more from the defense, but it seemed like both lines were dragging a bit today.

Hell maybe the heat is getting to the defense. Trying to think of something. If the D get their shite together this team would be on fire. The offense is doing good, sometimes I hate the play calling like passing on 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 3. Maybe I'm use to SEC ground and pound.lol.

OK, comparing the LSU game to our game, they're putting up the style points. I realize that Pinkel doesn't like to score over 50 unless he needs to, and doesn't like to embarrass anyone. And that's a nice attitude - as long as we get the W, no need to humiliate the competition.

But watching displays like LSU is putting on makes me wonder if that approach doesn't foster the wrong attitude in the team. I don't think our team has that "killer instinct" that the big boys have. I want them to stay humble and hungry, but that desire to put the boot on the opponent's throat and make sure they stay down just doesn't seem to be there.

Thoughts?
