I was thinking I could see Phil in Summer League, but I guess the Celts aren't participating in the Vegas portion of the league. Disappointing.

God, I have no desire to see Phil play ever again. Overrated.

Phil is apparently doing well enough in their summer league that the Celtics invited him to camp. I don't know. He just didn't seem coachable.

I'd just never actually seem him play. I was thinking it was a good excuse to break out my old style Chase Daniel jersey and wear it to a game to support my favorite SEC team at a basketball game like a real SEC fan.

He could be exasperating at times, but then so was Derrick Chevious and the guy is our all-time leading scorer and always made us a 20 win team and NCAA tournament participant (and also happened to go winless in the Big Dance for his career just like Phil, but that's neither here nor there).
My point is, I try to see the big picture and not get bogged down in the frustrations of a lot of the finishes last year. Phil was up and down but he was talented and he became our all-time assist leader by earning it. I would much rather see Phil play again as opposed to having our point guard be, say, Jason Horton, Randy Pulley, Dibi Ray, etc. All of which we've had to suffer through.
