A big challenge for Haith is that without any juniors or seniors left from the suitcase era there is not a player on the roster who has played even two full seasons for the Tigers. A big part of Haith's first season was that he had three players who were in their 4th season and one in his 3rd. We often see teams with many upperclassmen starters be successful in the tourney. Some are unhappy with Haith but I think he is building a strong long term program with this freshman class and the two freshman that are coming in next season.

P.S. - Purdue - Painter had a losing season last year and is 14-10 right now.

Time will tell. The team will struggle with chemistry, struggle to get to the tourney and will struggle to do well in the tourney when they do make it, as long as we're taking as many transfers as we have been. I understand Haith had to do what he did with the transfers, but it can't remain the norm.

I'm willing to wait until this class with JW3, Clark, Rector and Jones are seniors before I pass judgment. I would have said last year's freshman class but the only one still around is Rosburg.

Seems like Haith want to be a Coach Cal type coach. The only problem is that Haith isn't Coach Cal.

Haith has no composer.

Way too much of a loose cannon.

I don't know if it's Haith's coaching or if we just have a bunch of low BB IQ guys on the team. Very frustrating to watch at times. I won't miss any of this year's seniors. Ross seems like a nice kid, but at times he's just clueless out there, same for Criswell.

Criswell hasn't played defense since 2012.

Rosburg goes for every single shot fake.

Post apparently has exercise-induced moronicness.

JWIII cannot shoot outside of 5' and barely can inside 5'.

Ross is an out of control driver.

Clark is the only one with a modicum of basketball IQ and he looks like the game is still too fast for him.

Brown and Clarkson are ok. But eh. I'm not thrilled with either of them.

It's just a god awful team. Just god awful.

If you're wondering, this is where you lost me.

This is a very frustrating team to watch but somehow this God awful team is 17-7 and has a chance to make the tourney.

I know. I know. They're very good. But I just don't like them. We've had far less talented players I liked far more.

I'd trade either one of them for Gary Leonard and not bat an eyelash.

I thought they was going to give Arkansas the game tonight. Glad they pulled out out.

And Mizzou isn't Kentucky. If Mizzou could draw one and done type talent regardless of who was coaching, Haith might be a Cal.

I'm telling ya, it's a function of being transfers. The same type of bond between player and fan cannot be made. My head tells me Brown is one of the best players Mizzou has had but my heart just says meh. His efficiency is amazing. He gets his points relatively quietly. I really think if he had come in as a freshman and this was his 3rd year playing at the University, I'd feel a lot different about him.

I dunno. He doesn't have any sort of outward fire or passion.

And as an aside, I swear to god that Clarkson was point shaving tonight at the end.

I just can't get a good feeling about this team. It may be my least favorite Mizzou team ever. I just get the feeling that they are playing for the name on the back of their jersey instead of the name on the front. I dont know why and I'm probably wrong. Just seems that way for some reason. I feel no connection with this team the way I have with past Mizzou teams, if that makes any sense.

I love JBrown's game, he's got nothing to do with the problems. Love watching him and expect him to have some success at the next level.

Clarkson is obviously talented but his style of play at PG has stunted the growth of the team.

ITT: I can't cheer for Jabari Brown because he hasn't been playing for Mizzou long enough. I also hate free agents in professional sports. The SEC's best player isn't good enough for me! And Jordan Clarkson is point shaving to boot.

Come on guys, this team isn't as good as what we're accustomed to, but your gut feelings and observations sometimes border on the insane.

You're right, he doesn't show it a lot. But I noticed late in the game, might have been one of the last time outs, when the team huddled up, it was Brown doing all of the talking. Not Haith. Not the other coaches. Brown took control more than with his play.

That's what transfers tend to do. It's usually why they transferred in the first place.

If this is in reference to my comments, I NEVER said I can't cheer for him. I said it's just natural that there is not the same type of connection between fan and player when comparing a kid that comes in as a freshman and plays 3 or 4 years versus someone who transfers in and plays 1 to 2 years tops.

In the last two minutes-ish, Clarkson had an odd turnover when he couldn't come back to the ball, a missed layup (almost without pressure) and two FTs which both should have missed - one bounced in.
