Pinson is a developmental guard. I don’t think he solves the ball handling issues for next season. I would take him and like his potential, but we would also need a juco or grad transfer in addition to Pinson. Pinson is going to need a year or 2 to develop.

We still need him. This is a long game. He can help next year, but I would like to take Williams also.

Mizzou should have 6 open scholarships unless Porter jr stays(unlikely).

They will need a grad transfer at pg or Juco transfer. Signing six freshman is not something that Cuonzo needs or will want.
Looking at Juco guards I like
Ricky Torres from Missouri State-West Plains.
Hopefully there are pg grad transfers available.
Probably get Cameron Van Leer as a walk on, because he will get a golf scholarship.

Mizzou is not bringing in 6 freshmen.
Santos will be a redshirt sophomore
If Pinson commits that will give Mizzou 4 freshmen, my bet is the last 2 available scholarships will be either juco or grad transfer guards or wings.

The size of Williams and Pinson gave the added advantage of playing off the ball some.
Another name to keep an eye on is Ochai Agbaji, he might be the best player in KC this year. He’s 6’5 wing and very athletic. In the last few weeks he’s gotten offers from Wisconsin, A&M, Oregon and a few other P6 teams, with a bunch of others sniffing around. I doubt Cuonzo wants to add another freshman wing, but could be a possibility this spring.

I've read he's waiting on a KU offer and is a huge KU fan. PM has said we want a graduate transfer for one scholarship so if we get the two PG's we're after then we're probably done.

I was just pointing out that Agbaji has had a lot of interest from P6 teams in the last month. He did play AAU ball with Jontay over the summer, so the Mizzou coaches have seen a lot of Agbaji.
I knew when I saw Agbaji last winter that he was a P6 level athlete. He’s come a long way with his skill development since summer to start getting interest for some nice schools.

Glad we got him. We need all the help we can get at PG.
He might get thrown to the fire right away, but what I saw on tape sure seemed like he might need a year to bulk up and get used to the speed of the game.

I agree with that. Id still like to add another ballhandler, whether that be the JUCO kid or a possible grad transfer.
