If one person gets the blame, it is steck. Not just for the 4th and 15 man call but the entire 4th quarter.

Semo, give it up on the scholarship kicker request. Pinkel has been VERY clear they don't offer scholarships to freshman kickers. They recruit them to walk-on and they can earn a scholarship. Heck, we might already have a scholarship kicker. I think Baggett got one this year.

Agree on Steck. He can call some good games, but when he goes into that pansy prevent D, we fall apart and let teams back into the game. Every freaking time.

And I know offering scholarships to freshman kickers is not "what we do." That's a phrase I'm getting really sick of. The kicker is an important position. If we can get a dependable kicker, more talented than a walk-on, why wouldn't we offer the scholarship?

Pinkel has had great success over the last 10 years with walk-on kickers. I think Mizzou fans might be getting spoiled. There are teams out there who can't find a kicker to make 50% FG rate.
