There were plenty of ways to dump on Royals fans and offend them without including that stupid mythical bird, which is an insult to every Mizzou fan in the world. The only people non-reactive to it are people who don't care about Mizzou.

I'm "non-reactive" to it. Kansas is just another school to me, I've moved on.
I think the KC fans are a bit more sensitive to it, since they are around it everyday. I know it sucks every time I visit my friend in KC and there are kU flags flying in his neighborhood.
There's too much to enjoy on Saturdays now, plus that game was shitty but for one year. We beat them when it mattered, they suck now. We've moved on to bigger and better.
I feel like a divorcee who left his garbage wife and married the hot rich gal.

Also, should I over seed this fall? I've got some new sod in the backyard that has been pissed on by the lab. Killed the shite out of it.
I'm leaning towards yes. Just as soon as it stops being 105 degrees with Santa Ana winds everyday. Gotta love October in SoCal.

Doing fine. Not as many sales as I'd like, but for a first book I'm not disappointed. Reviews have been great and I've got a book deal for the next one. I'm working on stories for it now. Some of the stories in the first book have been purchased and appeared in other publications such as the anthology, The Salmagundi. LINK Another anthology will be coming out mid 2015 (about the same time as my next book) with two more of my stories.
All in all, not too shabby.

I am sure it is more offensive to those of us that grew up in KC area. But I was never offended by any fan brandishing the flag of their preferred school. I even dated a couple of kU guys, while I was going to Mizzou (Weekends in KC or summer.)
It is the obnoxious "in your face" kU fan, that I abhor. Always will.
