I'm not against WhiteMeat. However, I will stand for certain principles of equality.
When WhiteMeat is accepted on our board, we will have accepted 5 Arkansas posters (Cheshire, Crawler, WhiteMeat, UltimateHog, Stonehog) and another is on here due to Admin priveleges (DC RaiseHerBack). That will be a total of 6 Arkansas posters.
Has their board returned the favor? They allowed UR access a long time ago because he provides valuable recruiting information. Other than UR, no one else has access except Semo, and she has access because she's an Admin.
How about we focus on other schools for a while? I'm not against allowing good posters in, but perhaps we should hold off on the Arkansas posters until they reciprocate.
Jesus, this will become an Arkansas Board if we're not careful...and has anyone forgotten how badly we're flamed on a daily basis by certain Arkansas fans.

I hear ya killz. If Meat were just now asking, I'd be on board with you, but I had given my support for him before all this came up so, on principle, I'm not going to change my position when it comes to Meat. I don't see him as a troll and he did go to bat pretty hard in that thread you linked. You got no argument from me, though, if you feel otherwise with regard to Meat because I would feel the same way as to anyone else that were to ask now.
I also don't think there's a concern of it becoming an Arky board. Posters can always be removed if the talk begins to center around Arkansas instead of Mizzou.

Guys, we're having this discussion about Arky because their posters have requested access to this board. We're not going to go out and solicit people to post here.
Miz Piggy at one time had the support of our posters for posting here, and never received it. Team board admins exist to help manage these request, and should eventually have that authority. But this voting stuff has gotten a little out of hand.
Please just be patient for a bit, OK?

This is a topic that needed to be discussed. I'd like to think this discussion will lead to future positive changes on the team boards...and to perhaps a more cordial rant.

Yes, I'm glad the discussion is occurring. I'd like to see the boards more open. But not everyone shares the same opinions, and everyone feels they're right. That's why I asked for patience. Pushing the issue can have the backlast effect of making people dig in their heels, and that's just counterproductive. Not everyone moves at the same pace when it comes to change.

The arkies are just excited about having their first real rivalry. They're not as well versed as we are, having participated in one of college sports greatest rivalries for the last century.

This rivalry could end up being much more fun. At least in terms of competition. The beakers never brought much to the table in football.
I wish we were playing this fall. But, at least this gives us time to get the pieces we need to spank them in '14. I feel like we're assembling our forces for the fight on the front lines in '14.
It's basically a Cold War right now. As history has shown us, having people inside the enemy lines during a Cold War is of utmost importance. That's where we come in. We are the intelligence pieces on the ground, gathering info, and learning the ways of the enemy. This will only help when the war pops off in '14.
