The number of yards the defense allowed in the second half. Ugly win but damn the defense locked down in the second half. Onto UConn

Reedus - don't look now but you're becoming a homer

Meh, you think I blast just for the sake of blasting. I can see the good but can also acknowledge the bad. No team is perfect.

I think we're all saying the same thing. Not very good right now in certain regards. Hopefully will get better down the road. You probably have more faith that guys like Witter will turn it around while I'm very suspect of that until I see it. Having said that, he did have one nice run.

I'm NOT a Witter fan at all but I do believe in the offense and Henson.

Arkansas State has 37 yards on 28 plays in the 2nd half.

not arguing, just saying that's what he said, don't think the game was over at that point though.

all this team needs, I hate to say, is Petrino running the offense, and this thing is a monster.

I'm a Henson fan too. Not sure I believe in the offense quite yet. Hopefully they turn it around, but as of right now, through 2 games:

1. Way too many drops by WR's.
2. OLine isn't showing any improvement.
3. Mauk still hasn't matured nor fixed his mechanics.
4. The RB's outside of Hansbrough simply haven't shown the ability to play at an FCS or low D1 level.

If they change those things, yes, they'll be good.

Would it be safe to say that most of these are vanilla offensive plays being run? More tailored to player effort than offensive scheme? Maybe this is the reason for the stagnant play on offense? I know Mauk is going to be Mauk. He is what he is. But I also think he is dealing with young receivers too.

I still think that Mizzou will have one of the best defense in the SEC by the end of the year.

The defense is impressive for being so young.

Odom is rotating in the young DLine so much that our DLine is wearing down the opposing OLine and dominating the second half. Not sure if that pattern will hold against better competition though.

I'm not really concerned about the WR drops, they'll get that fixed. I like what I've seen from the young WRs other than the drops. They are able to get open and lots of speed and good athleticism.

OLine and RBs are a bigger concern, could be a problem that will really hold this team back. Mauk might have to run so much that all the Mauk haters will get their wish and Lock will have to play. If Mauk could just cut out the 2 or 3 insanely stupid throws he makes each game, he'd be a great one. But I think he's doing alright so far this year with what he's working with.
