3* Brendan Scales from STL is picking up a nice offer list. ASU, Arky, Mich State, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, UK, Nubs, WV, Cuse. Hope slow playing him doesn't burn us. I think we need a TE in this class and not sure if the current offers are those pie in the sky offers that will never happen. We didn't take a TE last class.

Recruiting this cycle has been weird so far. We're slow playing everyone in state and I'm not sure why. I've read the coaches want to be picky thus year since they're taking a small class for some reason, but we're the only SEC team without a commitment, we should probably get going on that. Scales has said he'd commit to Mizzou if they offered, but dragging it out this long might burn us in the end.

Man I wish they got this info out more. I'm guessing this is the father of the #1 DE in the nation and #2 player in the nation overall, 5* AJ Epenesa.

AJ Epenesa 5star Edwardsville , IL2017 DE is visiting today.
This kid is by far the best player in Illinois for 2017 and I am saying a little prayer his visit goes outstandingly well. Unfortunately, his dad went to Iowa. Hopefully his dad will help him pick D line U!

He had tweeted out how his sons were on spring break but waking him up at 6:30 to go workout each day. Gotta love that work ethic. Not just working out which you'd expect most football recruits to be doing, but add it's spring break and add it's at 6:30.

My nephew trains with Scales. He told me Scales said Mizzou is not an option anymore, that he has a top 4 and the only school that could change that would be Texas. but this was before mizzou offered so who knows...

I'm sure it's changed. Kids get their feelings hurt if we aren't the first to offer. Sometimes it matters, sometimes it doesn't.

That doesn't surprise me one bit. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. Went to school with his dad and I've been holding my breath afraid to hear exactly that. When I pulled him up the other day, I was actually hoping to not see many offers because I'm gonna bet those top 4 are probably ones that have already offered.
