Just look at the last 3 guys we got.

One other thing I like about these guys is they're all from the Southeast, not Texas.

I've been a little worried that we could enter a donut hole of sorts as the Texas recruits cycle through - and we still might - but these guys all coming from SEC states is a good sign that we're making inroads.

Looks like there's still a decision being made in Jeff city'!

New offer at DT is low 2* Kahlil Welsh. He's currently committed to Wake Forest, but has a visit to Mizzou on 1/30 scheduled and West Virginia is making a push to get a visit as well. The real competition would be Florida, as he's being recruited by McElwain and he has an in home with Welsh tomorrow where it's thought they might offer. If Florida offers then it's all over as he's apparently a big UF fan.

I almost want UF to offer so we can see how far up he gets bumped.

Magically, he'll move up to at least a mid 3*.

Imathorbhebhe strangely got a whole lot better when he flipped.

It will at least be 3. I'm wondering if it won't go to 4.

Have to say, this class is shaping up very nicely. It could finish strong as well. Its been kind of funny watching some people try to hem and haw trying to nit pick our recruiting on other, unnamed message boards.

Yeah, I can't think of one commit that I'd say we "settled" for. Really like the way it's shaping up.

Quotes from Hentges dad on twitter that said while he still thinks Hale will probably sign with Bama, he admitted Mizzou is still coming on strong and Hale will visit Mizzou on 1/30.

I remember being a skeptic of Mizzou recruiting midway through the cycle last year. I thought we were doing a poor job trying to recruit the better players. We lost Wallace to Arky and Johnson to FSU. Then we got Bauer back and a few others and the tide turned.

I have to say as a former naysayer of the recruiting, I am pleasantly surprised and psyched about this year's class.

I am annoyed at the obvious change in rankings when uf offers. Rivals is terrible for it. Although I don't know if ESPN is very good, at least they seem to not change as much because of offers.
When Hentges commits, will he lose his stars?

I wouldn't be surprised if Saban stopped by Helias to keep a certain TE from straying. If there's a reason for Saban to come, he may have cause for the worry. I wonder if a spot is being held for a visit the weekend with TBJ and Sapp.

I will now predict tomorrow nights powerball numbers!

great to hear Hale's coming. If he is coming to visit, Saban will tell him his scholly is gone. Bama can reach out to 5 other top TEs by lunch tomorrow.

Ohhhhh, that won't sit well with Saban. What's his dad's twitter?

Especially since Saban was just in town and reassured Hale was 100 % committed. Now he is going to visit with Saban's old teammate? I'm sure he likes Gary but he DOES NOT want to get out recruited by him.

One thing I guarantee that Mizzou is getting from me is a energetic playmaker on the field

Chris Hentges said Hale will visit Alabama this weekend. For now, he will visit Mizzou at the end of the month before his final decision.

IMO, Kiffin leaving would make the flip happen.

Anybody know when will know Kiffin's future is known?

from ESPN

quote:

Tuesday was a busy day on the recruiting trail with head coaches and assistants earning frequent flyer miles with national signing day only 15 days away. The headliner on Tuesday was No. 2-ranked Terry Beckner Jr. and a visit from Florida State.

I don't think it will matter but FYI.
