Great news. Needed some positive mojo going. Would love to add at least one more of the in state guys Bauer or Johnson.

seem to be getting a deep class early which is good.
I really like the addition of Pendleton, but I'm not sure I'm ready to call this a deep class yet. It seems what I've heard about half of the recruits is that the offers were to get a foothold in new recruiting grounds as much as anything else, be it Illinois, TN or FL.
I really would like to see them land Johnson, Wallace and get Markel back on board out of the St. Louis area and land Harrison from the KC area. I'd feel much better at that point. So far, we have 0 kids out of the top 10 in state and 4 of them have already committed elsewhere.
I give MU a 5% chance of landing him, but if they could manage to get a commitment from Booth here in the next couple of weeks like was discussed, it could go a long way to turning the tide with him and Pendleton on the heels of one another.

I claim deep in terms of amount of players so far. Not necessarily quality talent. Having 7 players committed so far is a win for me considering the season we are coming off of. The quality players we are looking for will likely wait to see how we look on the field.

Got ya. I think I just wish we had more of the in state kids locked up. I really hope Booth decides to wait to make a decision. Did I read Bauer plans on enrolling early? If so, I don't hold out tons of hope on being able to flip him.

Personally I think he's gradually going to move it away from the spread. I just think he's hesitant to make a wholesale change in one season. If this staff is around long enough, I would venture a guess in a few years time, the spread at Mizzou will be history.
I could see this as possible. But, cGP is stuck on the spread or some version of it. I'd have to think cGP would have to be gone for the spread to be totally scrapped, or Hensons offense would have to be highly successful for the spread to go away while cGP is here. I think at this point though, cGP is desperate enough to try anything to save his skin, so it is possible.

I agree. GP can be stubborn, but I think he also got smacked in the mouth last year and while he'll never admit it, doing what we do doesn't work in the SEC. I might get frustrated with him at times, but I do think he's a smart man and if the SEC style of play dictates that we have to leave the spread, I think he'll leave the spread. I just don't think it will be overnight.

Booth named his top 6. Mizzou not included. Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia.

And Mizzou continues to do what we do.

An announcement is coming for a three star Indiana athlete tonight and in somewhat of a surprise development Mizzou is a finalist (via PowerMizzou)
From the little I was able to find, I'm going to guess it's Terry McLaurin (3* from Indianapolis). Can anyone back me up on this?

Forget that last post. It turns out it's Lonnie Johnson.
Lonnie Johnson Rivals Page
Kentucky, Indiana, and Purdue are his other finalists. He also holds offers from OSU, Illnois, Nebraska and Cincy.

ya you are right it was Lonnie Johnson, and of course he picked Ohio State. Just another athlete at the bottom of their deep depth chart. Must be a confident kid.

maybe a confident kid but not his GPA I doubt he even qualifies with a 2.3

OT Michael Fairchild committed to Mizzou. No stars as if now. Stands at 6'6 262 from Kansas. Dad is a former nfl player.

I don't have much else to add except Terez Paylor has Fairchild listed at 283 instead of the 262 listed on Rivals.
Anyone know what his father's name is? I found a Greg and Paul Fairchild. The first is from St. Louis and the other played at kU. Paul played 7 seasons in the NFL. Pretty good pedigree if that is indeed him.
