It would be nice to be filling out this class with 4 star athletes but you just have to trust the staff.

Look at Tavon Ross. A few weeks ago he was rated a 2 star by some sites. Now he has offers from UGA, Bama, Miami, and South Carolina. He might as well be a 4 star.

Very true. And he's not the only one in this class. Hell, I think Thomas Richard was a 2* to start and he's a heart beat away from being a 4* now if I remember correctly.

You think so? Right now he's committed to us. If he's not going to keep that commitment, I'd hope he would let the coaches know. Hopefully he'll stay committed.

I guess you're right. It would be pretty bad of him to sign with someone else without officially decommitting.

One good thing is the weather has been miserable all across the south, so the big ice storm shouldn't be a big negative.

Does anyone know if the flights out of Columbia have been delayed? Any chance the recruits get an extra day in CoMo?

I have a feeling if we land someone on signing day it will be a WR, likely Desean Blair. It is really hard to tell how many we can take. Not real sure on the scholarship count. The Prestwood thing is still unclear to me. Keep seeing more and more predictions swinging him to us yet no recruiting database shows an offer to him. Vincent Jackson Jr. has been fairly silent.

I don't know how we aren't anything but done. Somebody is going. Hopefully it was something voluntarily and they told the staff already and that's why we're taking so many. I think we're at like 89 or so total scholarships. If accurate, 4 have to go, right? If we take another commit, 5 have to go right? And so on.

I read on PM he'd be taking his visits after NSD, so we probably won't know what's up with him for a while.

We apparently stopped recruiting Jackson, choosing between UVA and USF.

Seems like Ross had a great time. He is very close to some of the staff members, and feels a sense of loyalty since he's been committed to us for a while. A flip to Georgia is a possibility, but it would be very hard for him to say no to us at this point. Same with McWilliams, and his best friend is on our team already - Nate Crawford, who is pleased with the way things are going at Mizzou and how the staff is developing him.

Apparently we are in on some others as well, just quietly. May be some surprises on NSD.

Found this little nugget over on TB.

LINK

EDIT

Sorry folks, that link turned out to be premium content and was deleted on Tigerboard.

So, I'm deleting what is said and summarizing:

Greg Taylor had a great time and will try hard to convice 2015 ESL kids to come to Mizzou.

Spencer Williams, a Cincy commit checked out the Nubs on Saturday and Mizzou on Sunday. We have a good shot at him.

Potential good news on Tavon Ross.

I thought there was an article of rocel saying he was not going anywhere and remains strongly committed to mizzou.

Don't have a subscription so don't know who this is.

As for Rocel, he tweeted #mizzou18 the other night. Would be shocked if he didn't come to Mizzou.

Looks like we have room for 2 more. From what everyone is saying we have room for 2. If that is the case I would love to get one of the DT's ( Ford or Cage) and flip the DE Sawyer from North Gwinnett.

If we can somehow get the OT from Juco after signing day that would be great also
