Sounds like most of the big name in-state targets are in Columbia for this morning's scrimmage.

Duane Wilson to announce next week. Marquette is the favorite.

MU offered Upland, CA DE Joe Mathis. Joe Mathis Supposedly USCw, Nebraska, and Michigan are in the lead. With that offer list, Mizzou moves straight to the top!
Wonder if he is related to Robert Mathis...

Don't know anything about that, but it sounds like his potential might be related. I'll side with UR and lean towards probably not blood though.

Mizzou staff is continuing to go after some highly ranked national recruits. Would be nice if at least one falls our way.

Steckel told Ramirez that he, Beisel, and Burkett would be his dream LB unit.

That would be one hell of a linebacking corps, on paper of course. Does anyone know if Beisel was in town this weekend? I get the feeling if bama offers he'll be going there, the money will just be too good.

Don't under estimate the staff's "new approach" to recruiting.....
You know, when in Rome, do as the Romans.....
I kid, I kid.

To be completely honest if we would win a national title because of it I could care less. Look at what they did with auburn, slap on the wrist and just moved on. Lets be real, paying well is what it takes to recruit in today's day and age. Having a coach like saban or ridiculous facilities doesn't hurt either

Steckel said that to all three of those guys. Not just Ramirez.

Has anyone here seen Jorgenson play? Was wondering what type of pg he is. Is he more of a shooter or pure pg like Pressey.
Posted on 3/18/12 at 9:11 pm to URHatinIt
Haven't seen him play in person but from the reports I've read and what my friend said who has seen him play he is a pass first guard. He compared him to a poor mans version of Steve Nash, not as good of a shooter right now

That's what I was hoping to hear. I really like having a pass first pg.

Jorgenson's ball handling skills maybe better than Flip's, so that is saying something. I don't think he is quite as quick or a good a passer as Flip though. Jorgenson still makes the passes and sets teammates up well, but Flip is becoming magical with the pass. Jorgenson still has time to develop more though, but I don't think we'll be disappointed either way...

Regarding this weekend - I heard Hannon, Kurzu, Hosick, Beisel, Ramirez, and Elliot were attending scrimmage. Is there anybody else present that I missed?
That would be a nice haul!
