Update on Augusta:

Its down to Illinois and Mizzou.

Was suppose to visit Illinois this weekend but said he may not make the trip because of basketball.

Will make his decision Sunday.

Says Mizzou is still his leader.

Serious question. Who do people think will be our two starting DTs next year? The fact we went so hard after JUCO DTs, tells me that we dont have much on the roster right now. I question the effectiveness of a Freshman DT walking into the SEC. So who is out there? Matt Hoch most likely at NT, but I have no clue who is on the other side.

Unless some of the underclassmen step up, I've got to think Vincent or Foster

UR, how many more guys are we taking in this class? And who are we expecting them to be?

Can't give names just positions. I'd say 1 or 2 te's, 1 or 2 dt, 1 de, 1 safety and/or cb.

Do you guys know where I can go to see breakdowns on scholarships? Other than the pay sites. It seems we're always well under 25 but I could be wrong, and I'm curious if we're at the total cap or what the reason is why we always seem to be way under 25. Or maybe my perception is just wrong.

Couldn't tell ya man. Last one I saw on a paysite said we had about 21 schollies to give.

Not sure why were always under that number. Could be lack of attrition in the program combined with walk ons getting scholarships.

Mizzou made the final 3 for 4 star safety Tyler Foreman.

I'd put Mizzou a distant 3rd behind Cal and UCLA.

Vincent will win one spot easily. I'd expect Hoch to hold on to the 2nd spot since he figured some things out by the end of the season.

Offered 2015 West Mesquite QB Chason Virgil according to Brian Perroni.

His 2nd offer, 1st was Clemson.

We will need a solid visit to get Foreman in.

We only have 2 WR in this class so far. Does anyone besides me see Abbington at WR?

With only 2 WR's in this class this tells me we may be changing the offense a little. We usually get 3-4 WR's.

I think Abbington at 6'4" over 200 lbs would be a hell of a WR for us. That is if he has good hands.

I would bet Abbington stays at RB. We need a bruiser RB, and with Yost gone, maybe we will actually use Abbington, especially in 3rd down / redzone situations.

See, thats my problem though. I dont see Abbington as that. He is a tall lanky kid. I dont see the purpose in a 6'4 RB unless you are ripped like Brandon Jacobs. You could say that he could muscle up, but with his body type he can only get up to a certain level. Put the man in the backfield where he belongs.

I asked him on twitter and Chase is pretty content on staying at RB.

A couple of relevant Oregon tidbits:

I am on PM but I am not able to post, so if somebody is able to ask Pete to check into this. The Robinson twins are looking around. I think it is crucial Missouri looks into them and tries to flip them. Instant playing time.

Another interesting thing of note, Ohio State is recruiting Dontre Wilson. Now, on the surface that might not be of note except for the fact that EE was promised he would be the only RB. This is a promise he takes very seriously as referenced in a recent recruiting article. If there is any chance on him flippiung, it would be because OSU took Dontre Wilson also and broke the promise. He wants to be their lone scat back and that is the same mold as Dontre. Lets see what happens on that front.
