do the same thing for mens basketball? Apparently a lot if not most of the seats are sold. People choose not to show up or even donate the tickets. So make season ticket holders show up 30 mins before the game to secure their seat. If they dont the rest of the seats, sold or not are $2 for anyone and everyone.

If a season ticket holder shows up late, which seems typical for a lot of them. Off to the nose bleeds they go. IF they don't like it, bye-bye

Or is just getting full value for the tickets more important?

See your attendance rise by 10% and your revenue generated from ticket sales drop by 90%. Ain't no one gonna buy season tickets with those terms attached to it.

You have been able to scalp tickets to every home game this year for $5 or less if you don't mind sitting in the upper level sections. It's not that prices are too high, it's that no one wants to go. I'm a season ticket holder and have had a few games that I couldn't go to because of work and I couldn't give the tickets away for free (and I have lower level seats). That may change as the conference season goes along, but it's not the price of tickets right now that's the issue...

I don't get it; the kids play hard and aren't the most seasoned bunch, but there is some talent there. For whatever reason, some people just aren't interested.

Well if I have that happen again I'll let you know, although the conference games are usually easier to get rid of if I can't make it to them. I had a conflict and couldn't go to the Xavier game...I was shocked that no one (admittedly these were all my friends) would even take them for free. Seats in the upper bowl were selling for about $3 on StubHub.

Unfortunately until Kim can right this ship, if he does, there are going to continue to be open seats. I think going to the SEC hurt us on scheduling. It was much more fun going to games against ISU, KU, KSU, OU, and OSU then it is Ole Miss and Auburn. The schedule lacks a lot of punch. The non-con really does little right now as well.
