We get a Big Ten Opponent for the Bowl Game. Exactly what we want. Right?

Hiring a Big Ten OC as your HC means he'll have plenty of experience in this game against a solid Big Ten Program. This is a great chance for MSU to prove that they have fixed their offensive woes in taking on an Iowa defense that ranks in the top 10. Moorhead narrowly defeated this Iowa squad in Iowa City 21-19 so this is a good matchup I feel like. Both teams want that 9th win and final AP Ranking.

For me I wanted Iowa and not Northwestern. I knew we would destroy NW and no one would care. But Ferentz makes Iowa a respected program who's been to Rose Bowls, beaten SEC Teams like Nick Sabans LSU, Florida. This guy is a veteran.

Their offense isn't great. But they're going to smash it right at our defense. Their TE not playing is big for us. But I hate that it's become a trend. I'll put it this way. If you're going to sit out of the bowl game, you shouldn't go on the trip. So I hope he isn't.

Other than that let's salvage a disappointing season on top.

It's not a bad matchup for sure. Two top defenses. I think with a month to prepare we should win this one especially considering our offense finally got going after LSU.

I know people say that, but we still got shut down by Alabama(not shut out tho lol).

Texas A&M is the only solid defense to me that our offense looked good against after LSU. I just want us to look like that against Iowa and away from home!

We look like dog shite against good defenses, but hopefully this is a Ohio State vs Michigan situation where our speed and athleticism makes the difference

I think it's a good matchup for us.
On paper Iowa has a good defense, so it will be interesting to see how our offense fares against it. I suspect we'll do well since I don't think they have a lot of speed at either the DE or LB positions and teams with that seem to really make our offense stop.

I'm really intrigued by the new redshirt rule though. I think we'll see a lot of freshmen get some playing time so that they can put something on tape. I think that will prepare them and be a better advantage than just the normal XX extra practices.

Well, I will be greedy and ask form warm as well. We certainly did not have warm in Jacksonville last year. What was the high? 46? I had plenty of warm gear, but there were people at the game dressed in shorts and tee shirts.
